Noah left for work the next morning while I slowly got up and started my day. As I stretch I reach over and grab my phone from my bedside table then head for the shower. I was in the hospital for almost two weeks until Dr. Drevits said that the infection was gone and I was cleared to go home. Only I didn’t have a home and my drug-running husband who had let his brother kidnap me was still running free. So guess where I got to stay? Yep, a so-called safe house.
