My life was over! I'd never show my face in public again. What a humiliation! I felt regret eating me up from the inside and shame burning on my face. I left that disaster of my uncle's party like a criminal, hidden and wrapped in my brother's suit jacket which, fortunately, fit me like a dress.

"What are you doing in my room?" I asked when I came back from the bathroom and saw Boris sitting on my bed.

"I came to help you. Again!" Boris stared at me and pointed to the glass on the nightstand. "Drink this, it'll get rid of your stomachache."

"You have medicine that cures stomachaches and you decide to give it to me only two hours after this hell started?" I looked at him angrily.

"Little sis, take the medicine and sit here," he asked sweetly and I did as he said, sitting next to him on the bed. He put his arm around my shoulder. "I needed you to feel regret so you could see your mistake."
