CHAPTER TWO: Claw Lake

Zachary led me to a very expensive car.

I smile as he open the the door to let me settled down then he turn around and took his seat behind the wheel.

He turn to me gazing at my blue eyes for a brief seconds before coughing to clear his throat.

" Where should we go Jillian? " he asked interestedly and i had to laugh.

" You make it sounds like a date " i said laughing. He's so cute and I think we can get along.

Wait! Get along where? The voice inside my mind asked sternly.

He's your boss for God sake Jill.

I shook my head slowly and tried to stay calm 

Wait a sec ? Was i nervous?

No no, I'm sure not.

I turn to look at Zachary and was confused to find him looking at me with steady eyes.

What's wrong with this guy? He has been staring at me as though I'm some sought of goddess.

" I think we should go to claw lake " He said putting the key in the Ignition.

" Claw lake? , It's been a while i visit it's beauty scene " i said smiling.

" Okay then, let's go " he said before turning on the engine of the car.

He pull out of the parking lot and unto the road.

" So how old are you now? " He asked.

I sense he's trying to create a conversation.

" I'm 24 Mr... Oh i mean Hary " I said smiling. I wave out a strand of my hair which has been obstructing my view and lean back to seat.

Zachary smile as he focus on the road after briefly stealing a glance at me.

" Did you do that on purpose ? '' he asked me.

I was confused, i turn to him.

" Do what ? ''

" Did you laugh sweetly on purpose or that's just your habit?"  He replied not looking at me 

I chuckled and relax.

I don't want him to find fault in me at all , especially on our first time meeting. Oh wait, i forgot we met before four years ago.

" It's an habit Hary and when did you arrive ?" i asked. He was about to reply when my phone buzz from my bag.

I groan and pull it out expecting to see  my manager's name on the screen but to my relief it was my dad.

I quickly answer it delightly.

"Hello father" i said.

I noticed Zachary remain silent and seem to be focus on the driving but I'm pretty sure his mind is forty percent on the road and sixty percent with me.

I laugh at my thoughts and tried to listen to my father.

His voice sounds cheerful but i think i caught a hint of loneliness in it 

Maybe i was wrong.

" How are you doing baby " my father ask on the other end 

My father has been the only one to call me baby.

Well i won't blame him since my mother ran away when i was nine.

he has,since then focus on me alone.

"Baby" has been the name he called me from toddler and he hasn't changed.

It was even a luck everyone knows my real name.

" I'm doing great dad. How are you too ? " I asked feeling guilty for being away for so long.

" I'm holding up well, your beauty is growing as seconds pass. I saw you on TV last night " He replied coughing.

I crease my face in concern.

" Are you okay dad?"  I asked in alarm 

" Yeah I'm fine, it's just ... Nothing " he replied hesitating at the last minute.

I'm sure something is wrong, or is it just that I'm worrying for nothing.

Probably because he miss me so much.

I assure him in a happy tone that i will be visiting next week and he replied so excited telling me he can't wait.

I smiled to myself and after exchanging loves you i hung up.

" Is everything okay?, You look Moody". Zachary said looking at me briefly.

"I'm fine, it's nothing " i said trying to cheer up.

He pulled into Claw Lake parking lot and stop the car before announcing.

" We are here " he said in a singsong voice causing me to laugh.

" I love your smile " He said before he alight.

He turn around to open the car for me and i step out.

The claw lake view is extremely beautiful.

" Your dad own this too ... Right ? " I asked.

" Yeah he does" he replied before putting his hand on my back encouraging me to walk with him.

I Know already that Mike own Everything that has to do with Claw.

He led me to an empty table facing the quiet lake and i sat down on a chair, him taking another accross me.

I look back to see some kids smiling at me , they wave and i wave at them in return.

The eldest whose age is likely to be 17 walk up to me bravely and said.

" Please can i get an autograph Jillian Don?, You can sign my hat " She said extending her hat to me.

I smile sweetly at her and pul out my pen from my silver bag.

I scribble on the hat and smile at her.

" Thanks Jillian, I'm your fan " She said happily before joining her waiting friends.

I watch them leave and smile.

I was so happy for being so famous and being love by people.

I turn to Zachary and caught him looking at me.

I smile at him.

" They're so sweet " i said with a teary eyes to the surprise of Zachary.

He slowly touch my cheek swiping away the tears with his thumb.

" You're so beautiful " He said again and i laugh.

He picked up his cellphone and texted someone. Not long two waiters emerges from behind me with some food and wine.

They serve it neatly on our table and bow to Zachary before leaving.

I was surprised, okay i see.

He has plan out the outing even before coming to my shooting show.

" So you know i will agree to go to lunch with you ?" I asked him before sipping the wine.

Oh, i sign. It tasted so great.

'' Yeah, I Know you won't decline " He said proudly.

Not so full of himself huh?
