“Excuse me, I’ll be back,” Seraphina said to no one in particular as she stood from her seat. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to ask her what I wanted to

“May I walk with you, please?”

“Sure, of course, dear.”

I fidgeted as we walked; it was always a bad habit of mine whenever I was uncomfortable. I had no reason to fidget. This woman has been nothing but kind to me, given that I walked through that door merely 3 hours ago, but still, she seemed nice, right? No, for now, I just needed to be careful and not anger anyone, especially her and Serena, cause from the looks of it, their attitudes towards me depended heavily on the two women.

Which was why I really hoped this question wouldn’t anger her

“Ummm...if I may, may I be able to contact my mother and brother?”

She looked at me quizzically, “Of course, my dear. Why do you feel the need to ask? Feel free to contact anyone you’d like.”

“Thank you. Thank you very much. Are there telephones in the house?”

She frowned, “telephone? Why would you need a telephone?”

“Ummm... to contact my family.”

“I don’t understand, you don’t have a phone of your own?”

I bowed my head and shook it. When I looked up, she was looking at me with tender eyes; there was rage in them, but I felt like they weren’t directed towards me.

“Well then, we’d have to correct that mistake now, wouldn’t we?”

“No, no, I couldn’t possibly ask that of you,” I told her quickly.

“Why not?”

“It’[s just, it’s too much to ask, after accomodating”

“But this is your home, of course, we will accommodate you.” She smiled, “And tomorrow you will be getting a phone. Why should you be using a telephone? You don’t get to be the one out,” she said the last part playfully, and I smiled

“As you wish.”

“No, my dear, it is not as I wish; it is as you wish. Right now, I am saying it is a must because it is a necessity. In case of emergencies, but whatever you wish at any time, say so, and it shall be yours.

“Thank you.”

“You’re welcome, my dear.

After dinner, we adjourned to the living room, where the conversation didn’t stop; if anything, it got louder. Although I had nothing to contribute, I tried paying attention, but I was already nodding off, and Serena noticed

“Listening and not being able to contribute must be a bore,” she said,

All eyes turned to me. “Oh no, no, not at all.”

“If that were the case, you wouldn’t be dozing off.”

“No, I’m just...”

She scoffed. Mrs. Vitelli came to my defense. “You must be quite tired. Today’s activities were quite hectic. Why don’t you go lie down?”

“Why? We all attended today’s activities, and it’s not like she did any form of work.”

“Serena,” Mrs. Vitelli warned, “Mind yourself.”

She glared at me, but didn’t utter another word.

“Good night,” Mrs. Vitelli called after me.

“Good night, Ma, am”

I plopped down on my bed the minute I entered my room. I didn’t know why I was so tired. Was it the fatigue from last week bearing down on me all at once, or maybe I was always this tired? What even was the time? The world went dark.

At some point, I felt myself moving. No, being moved, well, either way, I really didn’t care. I just wanted to sleep, but I couldn’t. I felt a sense of being watched. When I peeked, I saw Enzo, and he was looking at me, his tattooed hand reaching out to push away the strand of hair that was caught in my mouth.

What a dream, I groaned, then turned around to face the opposite direction.

The whispers and stares finally quietened, I guess the rumors finally died down. I was at my table in class, when a girl walked up to me."Jinny right?" She had short brown hair with purple highlights, pink full lips and a nose ring"Yeah""Hi, I'm Rebecca," smiling, she stretched out her hand"Nice to meet you" I smiled back, taking her hand"Are you new here?""Nope""How come I haven't seen you around though?""Oh I just resumed. I was on a long ass holiday""Well, it's really nice to meet you""Same here" We talked after that, we just seemed to click, it was as if I had known her for a very long time. She was funny and relatable and with her the background seemed to peel away, and it was just us.I hadn't realised how much time had passed, until I heard the bell ring "Shit, I'm gonna be late for class" I started packing my books, "I have physics right now, you?""I'm free""OK, so I'll see you later?""Yeah"I hurriedly rushed out of class when I bumped into something hard, exc

1 year ago "Ahhh" "ahhh" "ngh" my breaths came out in puffs and my eyes were all puffy from the tears I cried "fuck!" I cried "harder Levi, fucking fuck me harder" he pounded into me with his cock, I could feel him in my womb, but it wasn't deep enough "deeper Levi, go into me-fuck!" I moaned as he drove into me He wrapped my hair around his fist "you drive me wild fucking Jinny Carlile," he breathed into my ear "imagine if your mum or dad could see you now, hmmm? What do you gotta say for yourself" I couldn't answer my thoughts were all in a jumbled mess "Answer me" he commanded, sinking his teeth into my neck "I'm a, I'm a bad girl, being pussy pounded by Levi Gunner's thick cock and I fucking love it" "Good girl" he bit me on my neck, then sucked it, at the rate he was going he was going to leave hickeys all around my body. We'd been doing this for hours, I think it was 10 pm now? But we'd started this since I arrived by two today. This is what I liked though, I didn't

The weeks passed by in a flurry, between the constant stares and the incessant whispers, I couldn't wait till the days ended. I had just finished getting ready and went downstairs for breakfast, but the whole place was a hush. My family sat as if a gun was fired and they were caught in the cross fire. "What's going on?" I asked But my mum plastered on a fake smile instead "Oh Sweetheart good morning, how was your night?" "It was good thank you" I smiled " so what's for breakfast?" My dad chuckled " So...we've got pancakes, sausages, cakes, tres leches, and because we keeping it healthy fruit salad" he said mimicking a circus master It was cute and endearing, cringe, but cute and endearing. I ate heartily, though I could still feel the earlier tension, it was as if it was fizzing out, but still there in the background. I was second guessing asking this question, but now would be the perfect time, seeing as they were angry maybe they'd impulsively be honestly with me? I kno

“I’m gonna miss you,” Luca said, smiling at me as the car boot slammed shut. “Yeah, I wish you could say the same about the others here, too.” I smiled “Oh, I’m sure they’re weeping inside right now,” we burst into laughter. “No, but seriously, I’m sure Mum’s weeping, you were always her favourite child.” “Don’t say that, she loves you too.” “Yeah, I’m sure,” he said non-committally. “God, I’m gonna miss you. You were the only one who actually loved me in this hellhole.” I smiled, “We’ll call each other, and I’m sure we’ll still see each other.” “yeah” he muttered I turned around and started the car, lifting my heavy bridal train as I walked. “Wait!” I turned around and saw Mum running down the steps. “You weren’t gonna go without saying goodbye to your mamma, right, Bambina?” I shook my head, tearing up She cupped my face. “I’m going to miss you,” she kissed my forehead, “stai al sicuro ti amo.” “Stai al sicuro, ti amo.” The drive to the Vitelli estate was long.

Anaya’s POV “Mama Non voglio sposarmi” “What?” she looked at me like I was crazy “Please, Mama, I don’t want to get married” “That is not for you to decide. You will get married” “Fine, but please not to him”, I pleaded. “That is also not your choice. Everything is finalised.” “Please, Mum, I do not wish to marry him,” I said, tears pouring out of my eyes, my head bowed. “Do you wish to start a war with the most powerful mafioso family in Italy?” She took my chin in her hands and forced my head up to look at her “Bambina, this is the best thing that could happen to and for this family” “He is ruthless, Mama” ”Who in the mafia is not ruthless?” She said sternly “I don’t love him, Mama” She looked at me, utterly broken “In the mafia, there is no such thing as love, sweetheart, there is only business and blood, and we women are used for either that suits the men's needs. That is why we need protection and security.” Her eyes became watery “With this alliance, you w
