CH- 23, FIRST SHOWDOWN

She walked towards her desk. There was still some distance between her and the desk when she sensed danger and instinctively leaped two steps back.

Several wooden swords hit the place where Sandhya was a moment ago. “What the…” She looked at the front to see what was going on. Two thick branches came into her view moving towards her with tremendous speed. She ducked. A deep frown etched on her face.

‘Swoosh.’

Another thick branch hit her from one side. Sandhya knocked on to a desk and toppled. She activated her mana layer and blocked it but it was late. Her hands started to bleed due to the cuts made by the branches.

‘Fwish…’

Another wave of wooden arrows swarmed on her from various directions. She rolled away. The swords pierced into the hardwood desk. Thankfully no one was sitting in that area.
