Verania’s Point of View

I was about to quicken my pace through the hospital's corridor when I abruptly halted, my gaze fixing on Ares. He was strolling casually, a basket in one hand, its contents seemingly a collection of fruits.

Here he was again, at the hospital. What could be the reason for his presence now?

My heart quickened its rhythm as our eyes met, and a surge of emotions threatened to overwhelm me. Earlier, I had wanted to initiate a conversation, but now, with him standing right in front of me, I found myself wishing to dissolve into the ground. It was puzzling why my demeanor had shifted so drastically from what I had intended.
