THE gentle morning breeze woke Prince Sari up. He welcomed another day with a delightful smile despite still feeling a little daze. The moment he got one foot out of his huge bed that could fit five people, maiden servants started to fix his bed. The younger ones assisted the Prince on putting on a casual robe for him to wear before he would take a bath and have his breakfast for later. “Good morning, my Prince. How was your sleep?” Prince Sari’s personal butler, Amarang, greeted him as he walked towards the young boy. The young maiden servants, who were just there a while ago, immediately left the two, and gave them some privacy to talk. The adult servants did the same. For now, Simuno Apollo was their acting “King” as Prince Sari would still undergo various trainings in becoming the next ruler. Simuno officials in Kabinihan were known to have leadership rights close enough to that of a King or Queen. Until the next Royalty, who was destined to become King or Queen matured, any Simuno official that belonged to the highest rank had every right to act as a “replacement” in order to maintain the kingdom’s operations without having to worry on who would guide the people on what to do. Simuno officials were categorized into three ranks: *Ginto, *Pilak and *Tanso. Simunong Ginto; they consisted of Elders and Founders of Kabinihan — humans who were previously powerless people, but were chosen by Kasarinlan himself, and were given divine powers and ‘temporary immortality’.
