“Just like the star you’ve always been there.” Karen~ “Come home with me.” Is William’s first word in the last ten minutes of our stargazing. This is the first night in this week that it didn’t rain so William and I (which is just me,) spent a few hours out looking at the stars and seeing that William showed no opposition, we drove out to an open field, spread out our mat and then we laid down on the grass and we have been gazing afar off for the last ten minutes. My concentration dwindles and I lose focus on the star I’ve been trying to tell myself isn’t moving. “Because we were friends once and believe it or not, I care about you.” Karen~ Flashback===> I couldn’t go to work that day. Jean was my concentration. So I called my secretary and told her I had family matters to attend to. Yes, I did, because I took the day to introduce Jean to everyone in the house and that day was also the first time since Samuel’s funeral that I saw Karen and I didn’t crash down or feel the pain I always felt when around her.
