35 — One of Us Is Lying

It was a quick trip from that pack back home. The Red Rock pack had an indescribable beauty, but I never wanted to encounter it again, ever.

I was so angry. I felt awful for agreeing to go, even though it had been very useful for us.

We had been back for a week, and as the previous doctors said, the numbness of her wolf could hinder her healing. So, we had done a battery of new tests to decide if she would wake up or not.

I was broken inside. My shell had cracked and was about to explode. I cried at least once a night, in our bed — which still carried her scent — alone and thinking about what I did to deserve so much suffering.

I thought about ending it all, but then I thought of Malia and the pack. They needed me!
