It has been an hour since I arrived at the hospital. Dalton was there, along with Cole, Alayna, and Drew were there. The first thing I notice when I wake up is that Kaden is not in bed. I reach over to find cold sheets on his side of the bed. I was released from the hospital yesterday, and he said he would work from home for the rest of the week. So the fact that he is not in bed is weird. I looked at the clock; it was after nine, so I figured he would be out in the living room. When I walk out into the main living area, I suddenly realize that I am home alone. I am fuming. I had set the accident up perfectly, but those two idiots couldn’t even make sure she was hurt. I checked my phone for the hundredth time today to see no texts or calls from Everly. She went back to work today. I wasn’t overly happy with this, but I know that she loves what she does and that I can’t keep her confined to the apartment all the time.
