Chapter Seventy

"This is fantabulous!"

Shelly giggled at her excited friends and joined in on the whooping cheers. The cause of their happiness was obvious. They were going to an island party organized in one of the lounges on the island.

"So if we didn't talk to those guys, they might have not invited us?" Cindy threw them a questioning look.

Shelly shrugged, "I guess so but they won't have left us alone either."

Kiara smiled, "I'm more interested in the fact that this is going to be a perfect rebound."

Shelly giggled as she stood up from the chaise lounge. "I'm going to enjoy the water."

She walked to the beach and stepped into the water. Its coldness was enough to make her feel cold inside. She kept walking until the water was halfway around her waist. She just loved the feeling of water especially being on the beach. It brought about a certain calmness to her troubling thoughts.
