THE NEXT DAY

Andrea was working with a heavy heart and tried her best not to break down in front of everyone.

She was in a meeting and everyone was present including Allison and her father, Lewis wasn't present.

She didn't listen as she kept staring down at the file in front of her. She couldn't get Lewis’ words out of her head.

“Ma’am.” a voice called but Andrea was too lost in thought.

“Mrs. Blackmore.” She heard and felt a tap on her shoulder which made her turn to him.

“Yes?” she asked

Andrea spent the next day ignoring Sal, not that she didn't want to speak to him, but she had just been overthinking about everything. She couldn't get what happened out of her head. She knew she would have to see him tonight because it was the third ball of the season and they should be together. She would also have to explain why she has been avoiding him and she doesn't think she is ready to have that conversation. What reason would she give him? She has a feeling he would know anyway. Thinking about it, Andrea decided she would attend the ball alone. All she had to do was stay at work till it was time for the ball, then he would have no choice but to leave without her. The day came to an end, the company was empty and Andrea was the only one left. She was still going ahead with her plan so she decided to do some extra work. Andrea’s phone beeped and she picked it up, it was the timer she set for when the ball began. She checked her text messages and call logs to see if she h

THREE WEEKS LATER It's been three weeks since the death of Andrea’s mother and Tony. Sal tried his best not to make Andrea think about the loss of her family. He helps her in every way he can, gets her anything before she asks. There has been peace in the society, and everything has been great. Sal and Andrea’s marriage has been peaceful, it has been filled with love and support, and everything has been going well.It has been filled with romance too, they both have sex at any chance they get and anywhere. Andrea giggled happily as she read her message from Sal. Her assistant looked up at her as she giggled and could tell why she was so happy. Everyone knows Sal and Andrea are the best couple in the city. Her assistant got a text on her phone, she read it, and looked up at Andrea again.“Ma’am, Mr. Lewis Blackmore is here to see you again,” she said and Andrea giggled a little then looked at her.“Ignore it,” she replied and paid attention to her phone again.“Ma’am, it’s the f

“Here,” Sal muttered, stretching a drink to Andrea and she slowly took it from him.“Thank you,” she mumbled and looked around. They were still at the station because they couldn't leave yet after what happened. Andrea was still in shock and she kept trying to figure out what had happened. What did the man mean by everything he said? Why did he kill Tony? How did her mother die? She hasn't gotten answers to any of her questions. Sal’s phone suddenly beeped and he pulled it out, he checked his messages to see who had texted him. Out of curiosity, Andrea peeped through the corner of her eyes to see who he was texting. She saw that he was texting Daniel and she read the messages. “Did you handle it?” Daniel texted.“Yeah,” Sal replied, then turned off the phone. Andrea looked away. Her heart suddenly skipped a beat as a thought popped into her head. She wanted to ignore it but she couldn't. She looked around to make sure none of the cops were close to them because of what she was

Tears streamed down Andrea’s face as she watched the cops in the car. After what seemed like forever, she could finally speak up. “My… My mother is dead?” Andrea stuttered and got no response from the cops.“Wh… what happened? I saw her like thirty minutes ago, what happened?” she asked in tears with her voice trembling but got no response. After a few minutes on the road, they arrived at the station and Andrea was taken out of the car. She walked in with the cops pulling her and she kept looking around. She doesn't care that she has been arrested. All that bothers her is her mother’s death. As she looked around, her eyes caught Tony and she pulled away from the cops forcefully.“Tony!” she yelled and everyone paid attention to her, including him as she ran towards him.“Tony, Tony,” she called in tears as she got to him.“What happened? What happened to mum? What happened to her?” she rushed her words in tears.Tony slowly furrowed his brows and then shook his head.“How dare you?

THE NEXT DAY Andrea kept glancing at the bed as she got dressed and ready for work. Sal was still asleep which was surprising but knowing how difficult it is for him to sleep, she let him be. She was finally done and she turned to the bed to see that he was still sleeping. She didn't want to leave after the wonderful night they'd had, and leaving a note would be weird, so she decided to wake him up. She moved closer to the bed, sat next to him, and then tapped him gently. “Sal.” she called and he slowly opened his eyes. He stared at her and her cheeks heated up as she smiled back at him.“I’m going to work, I thought I should tell you before I leave,” she said, and he ran his eyes over her clothes. He nodded a little and she smiled at him again, she moved closer to him, kissed his cheeks, and just when she was about to pull away, he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to himself. Andrea fell on him and giggled as he held her firmly.“I’m going to be late,” she said but Sal

“Hey, Andrea,” Sarah called as she rushed after her but Andrea didn't stop until she walked out of the club. “Andrea,” Sarah called and rushed to catch up with her. “Please don't tell Sal I brought you here so you could talk to Aaron, he will kill me.” she pleaded and Andrea sighed and ran her hands through her hair then looked up at the sky. “Have you ever noticed the stars were closer?” she chuckled and Sarah sighed.“Yeah, I’m dead,” she muttered then grabbed Andrea’s shoulders. “Look, you have to… “ she trailed off seeing Sal and Daniel walking out of the club.“Oh God,” she mumbled, turned Andrea toward them, then stood behind her. “Get in the car,” Sal ordered Andrea as he got to them and she scoffed and then rolled her eyes.“Get in the car.” She mimicked him and scoffed again. “Please don't make this worse for me.” Sarah moaned behind her but Andrea was too high to process anything. She just wanted to do what was in her head at that moment. “I am not going with you, it
