Ramon pulled the car into the driveway and parked it right in front of the small house.

He picked up the bag of treats and headed into the house.

Theresa ran to meet him and sniffed the air like greyhound.

This was one of the good days. She could run and play and laugh. The only downside is you never knew when she would break down again.

"You got cake!" She exclaimed.

Ramon laughed.

"Hello to you too, missy" She ignored him and hopped around excitedly. "You got cake! You got cake!"

"I got cake and cookies too"

He placed the bag on the counter as they got inside and she immediately pulled out three cookies and began to stuff them into her mouth.

"Yo, go easy on those, Tee. You're not supposed to have too much anyway"

She chewed and swallowed.

"Are these all mine?" She asked.

"No. I got for me and Hannah too"

Theresa smirked.

"Your girlfrienddddd" She wiggled her eyebrows suggestively as she dragged the word.

Ramon rolled his eyes and picked up the bag.

"Stop calling her that, Tee"

"So she's not your girlfriend?" She asked.

"I've been counting and for the twenty eight time, no she is not"

"How come her room is always locked? Is she allergic to sunshine? You know she should come out more right?"

Ramon sighed.

"Why do you always got to ask so many questions though?"

"Why don't you like to answer though?"

Ramon stooped low so he could look his sister in the eye.

"Her door is locked because she's tired and recovering and you are not the type of kid to let an adult or anyone for that matter get some sleep"

Theresa frowned.

"Whatever" He played with her hair and straightened up. "I'm going to go check on her," he pointed at her, "Do not follow me, Theresa"

The girl huffed and walked away in the other direction.

Glad to have had her get off his back, Ramon began to make his way up the steps.

For some strange reason he found that he felt nervous and he wondered if Hannah was going to like the cake and the cookies.

Upstairs, Hannah sat up on the bed where she had spent the last couple of weeks.

Her leg was healed enough for her to move around fairly easily but not without a limp.

She had just finished taking a long bath and after putting on the clothes that Ramon had provided for her, she went back to the bed and did nothing but stare up at the ceiling.

A part of her wanted to believe that Theodore was losing his mind and going out of his way to find her and drag her back to him.

But then she remembered the insults and the beatings and the numerous affairs with strange women and she shook her head.

He treated her like someone that he hated and she doubted that he would go out of his way to find a woman he despised.

If anything, he should be throwing a party and finding a new woman to shower his disdain upon.

Ramon's house was quiet, she could hear the birds sing clearly from up here and just below her was a little girl who loved to laugh.

She had only met Theresa once but the child had left quite an impression on her.

Then there was Ramon who was raising her all by himself?

Hannah wondered if that was the reason he kidnapped her? Did he need the money to send the girl to school?

A child her age should be in school and not at home all day.

Her train of thought was interrupted by a small knock on the door.

"Are you decent?" Ramon's voice came from the other side.

"You can come in" Hannah responded.

Ever since she had broken her ankle trying to escape him, Ramon had broken his aggressive captor character.

He had begun treating her better and it was becoming difficult for Hannah to be scared of being around him.

She heard him bring out his key and unlock the door.

He pushed it open and walked in with a smile on his face.

Hannah smiled back at him as well without realizing that she was doing that.

Ramon stood by the door for a short while and focused his eyes on the woman before him.

The sunlight rested on her face and he could not help but admit to himself that she was a beautiful woman.

He could not explain it but it made him happy to see that she wore the gown that he got her.

When he purchased it he half expected her to toss it away and never lay hands on it but she failed his expectations.

He took a mental note to get her more dresses.

"Is that for me?" Hannah asked pointing at the bag in his hand.

Ramon immediately alighted from his train of thought and nodded.

"Oh," he raised the bag up, "This?"

Hannah nodded.

Ramon walked over to the bed and sat by the edge, careful not to go to close to her injured ankle. He handed her the bag.

"I didn't know what you would have liked" he replied.

Hannah looked inside the bag and her eyes widened from excitement.

"That's a lot of cookies and cakes, Ramon" she exclaimed.

He sighed and face palmed himself.

He had forgotten to ask if she was a fan of cakes and cookies.

"I'm sorry. I forgot People like you don't really like all the calories and what not"

Hannah looked at him for a few seconds and laughed out loud.

Her laughter annoyed Ramon but when the annoyance vanished which was almost immediately, he realized that he enjoyed the sound of her laugh.

It was comforting and almost contagious.

"People like me?" She chuckled and took out a cookie, "You need to quit watching so much reality tv shows"

Hannah placed the cookie in her mouth and closed her eyes as she chewed.

She looked like she was utterly in love with it.

"I'm going to assume that you don't mind it?" He asked and she shook her head.

"The extra calories?" She swallowed and smiled, "I can't remember the last time I freely ate something like this. Theodore would lose his mind if he ever caught me anything that would make me fat"

"Who is Theodore?" Ramon asked and Hannah went silent.

She did not want to talk about him and had no idea why she even mentioned his name.

"It doesn't matter. I don't want to talk about that"

Hannah replied and Ramon nodded.

"Well," he began, "whoever he is, he sounds like a royal asshole"

Hannah looked at Ramon and said nothing.

When Ramon noticed that she had not responded to his comment.

He immediately apologized as he thought he may have accidentally struck a nerve.

"Hey, look I'm sorry if that came off as rude or anything. I don't know the guy and so I should not just go ahead and insult him like....."

Hannah gave him the other half of her cookie but he was a little hesitant to take it and only looked at it.

"Go on," she urged, "it's really good. You should try it"

Ramon took the cookie and put it in his mouth. She was not wrong.

"You like it?" She asked and he nodded.

Hannah smiled as she watched him eat.

She also wondered if he had always been this handsome and how she had never noticed that little dimple on his right cheek.

"You're right you know" she began. "What about?" He asked.

"Theodore," she replied, "He is a royal asshole"

Ramon laughed and looked at her leg. "How is your ankle holding up?" He asked.

Hannah looked down at the leg.

During the early stages of the injury, it hurt so much that she could hardly move it.

However, Ramon, had taken it upon himself to care for her.

From time to time he even helped her move around to help strengthen the bones he had said.

Hannah knew that if this had happened under Theodore's roof he would have made her feel even worse.

"A lot better thanks to you" She replied and Ramon nodded.

"I'm sorry that you had to jump out the window in the first place"

"You're the only man that I know that apologizes way too much"

"Yeah," he sighed, "Look, Miss Hannah, you have been here for some time. Don’t you think you should reach out to your....."

Before he could complete his sentence, Theresa barged into the room and ran to Hannah's side

Isabelle, Brian, Rosie, Gina, Hannah and Ramon stood there for a good two hours waiting, silently praying and just hoping for some news. Hopefully, good news. Ramon held Hannah's hand while Isabelle wrapped her arms around Brian to comfort him. Rosie on the other hand was lost in thought. She still had a mountain of trouble waiting for her. She had betrayed her daughter's trust and had robbed her grandson of a father simply because she was angry at Adrian for getting her teenage daughter pregnant. Under normal circumstances, she should be near Isabelle and Brian and offering comfort but she could not bring herself to go too close. It was already difficult enough for Isabelle to be around her after finding out what she had done. Gina stood there watching every one of them. She was worried for Theresa and most especially for Ramon. He had dedicated his whole life to taking care of her and sacrificed a large chunk of everything just to make sure that she was safe and well taken

  • Kidnapping Madam Hills   62: Is she going to be okay?

Hannah hated hospitals. It was the place that she had lost her father and had not had cause to step into one until today. She had forgotten just how terribly depressing it could be. Ramon sat with his head in his hands while she rested a reassuring hand on his back; rubbing it slowly to help ease his tension. She could not begin to fathom what it was like to be in his shoes. He loved Theresa. She was his entire life and it was scary to think that he might lose her. "She'll be alright, Babe" Hannah said quietly. "I can't lose her, Hannah" He said and shook his head. He thought of the nightmares that Theresa usually had. Was this the manifestation of those dreams? Was he actually going to have to watch her die? "You won't lose her, Ramon. Theresa is a strong girl and she'll be fine, I promise" Ramon nodded. There was nothing that he could do but nod. Earlier, the doctor in charge of Theresa had called him aside to speak to him about the state of his sister's health. The doc

"You were lied to ,Isabelle" "She told me that she told you that I had died in a cell fight and she was going to change the numbers that I knew so I would never be able to get to you" "She told me that she had gotten rid of all the letters that I sent and she made sure that all the ones that you sent never got to me" The words from Adrian floated through her head. She had gone to see him because she felt that he was simply going to offer a flimsy excuse for his absence. She had not prepared for the bombshell that had exploded in her face. She was not prepared to hear that her mother had been the one that had caused her grief. It didn't make any sense to her. Why would her mother do that? She knew that she did not particularly like Adrian but was it possible for her to go this far? There was no way that was possible. Right? Isabelle had taken a taxi back to her place. She had ignored every one of her staff that had tried to speak to her and just walked into the main house.

  • Kidnapping Madam Hills   60: Get her to the hospital!

It was a blissful friday morning and Ramon was finishing a wooden table that he had been working on for a few days in his workshop. Hannah was right there to keep him company. He had been in a brighter mood. One that even Theresa had not seen in such a long time. He had been a somewhat happy person but ever since that he had gotten with Hannah it almost felt like he was walking on sunshine. For Ramon, it did feel like he was walking on sunshine. He remembered the morning that Theresa had walked in on he and Hannah. They both shared a laugh and fell back in bed. "I think, we may have just traumatized your sister" Hannah said between laughs. "She'll probably try to get back at me when she's older" "You think that's something that you could handle?" "I think I might shoot the guy in his balls" Hannah laughed even loudly this time and Ramon could not help but be in awe of her. She was like a breath of fresh air and he wanted nothing but to stay in bed and breathe in this fres

  • Kidnapping Madam Hills   59: Ask her

She had done her possible best to ignore and fight off the temptation but in the end, her desire to find out the truth had been too much for her to handle.Isabelle had called the number on the card that Gregory had handed her. She recognized his voice on the other end and he sounded pleased to hear that she was willing to meet with Adrian. Isabelle was not all too pleased to be meeting with Adrian and she could feel her anxiety getting to her: She was not going to take any of her cars and instead decided to call for a cab that would drive her to where she needed to go. She had taken her time to conceal her face with dark sunglasses and a scarf. Her relationship with Theodore was still a trending topic in the media and she could not risk appearing in the papers and blogs as not a alleged homewrecker but also a cheat. That was not what she was worried about. She was more concerned with having to explain to Theodore what she was doing at one of the houses of another man. Isabel

"I'm telling you," Rosie said with some urgency, "It was her. Hannah Hills" She took a gulp of the wine that had been poured in her glass and shook her head. "Can you imagine if she had been with them all along. You don't think that maybe Hannah had been with this Ramon fellow all along do you? What if they are dating? And to think that the sister has been friends with Brian all along. What a crazy coincidence" Rosie turned to her daughter who looked like she was lost in thought. Isabelle had not been her usual self since the night that she had attended the gala with Theodore. She had been moody and awfully quiet. She never seemed to be paying attention to anything or anyone and it worried Rosie. "Isabelle" Rosie called out. "Yeah?"Isabelle responded but looked like she had her train of thought interrupted. "Is everything okay with you?" Rosie asked. Isabelle nodded. "Yeah. Everything is fine, Mom" Rosie shook her head. "You can fool everyone that things are fine but not th
