LOGINPOV Fedora
Has she taken her medicine today? Wow. She feels completely normal right now. Her body heat is totally fine, and she is breathing so well. I really wonder why she is still sleeping. I heard many different voices floating around in my dark dream, but that sweet voice grabbed my full attention. I slowly fluttered my heavy eyelids open. I was staring up at a strange, white ceiling I had never seen before in my life. I moved my head to look around the quiet room. A thin, clear tube was connected straight into the back of my hand. A drip bag hung from a tall metal pole. Was I lying in a hospital? I shifted my body against the soft mattress. No, I was in a massive, very comfortable bed. It did not smell like a cold hospital, but I really was not sure where I was. A young, thin woman with long brown hair sat right at the edge of the mattress. She was carefully preparing small glass injections. She turned her head and smiled warmly at me. Oh, look who is finally awake, sleeping beauty. A soft, gentle laugh left her lips. I honestly thought you needed a prince to kiss you to wake up from that endless sleep. I rubbed my blurry eyes with my free hand. Wait. Where am I? What is this place? Oh, my name is Anastasia, thanks for asking. The brown-haired woman smiled bigger, reaching over to gently hold my hand. I am the pack healer, and I am also one of the doctors here. She patted my knuckles softly. But you should save all those big questions for the Alpha. He gave you to me to take care of. Wait! The Alpha? My heart started pounding wildly against my ribs. I jumped up fast, ignoring the sharp pull of the needle in my hand. Where is Stefan? Please do not tell me he... She gave me a very confused look. Yeah, Alpha Michael. A huge, heavy breath of relief escaped my dry lips. I placed my shaking hand flat over my beating heart and fell back against the pillows. Anastasia tilted her head to the side, her eyebrows pulling together. Wait, who is Stefan? I quickly looked away, staring at the white blankets. Do not worry about it. It is really not important. She moved closer to me. She held my arm steady and slowly pushed the injection needle into my skin. What is your name? I kept my eyes glued to the bed sheets. Fedora. A bright smile returned to her face. Wow. That is such a nice name. I have never heard that name before today. My mother gave it to me. A tiny, sad smile touched my lips. Anastasia pulled the needle out and wiped my skin with a soft cotton pad. Wow, she must really love you very much. She threw the cotton away and looked right into my eyes. So, what exactly happened? How did you end up washed up on our shore? I scratched the side of my head, trying to clear the fog. I do not really remember everything perfectly. But I think I jumped off a very high cliff. Anastasia gasped softly. Oh, that is so bad. She reached out and smoothed my hair. But I am so glad you are safe here now. It really was fate doing its job. My eyes went wide with pure shock. What do you mean it was fate doing its job? She stood up from the bed and turned her back to me. She started packing her medical tools into a small bag. We have actually been waiting a very long time for you. My confusion grew a hundred times bigger. Please, I am so confused right now. Could you explain that better? She grabbed her bag and walked straight toward the wooden door. I cannot say much more right now. I am very busy. Just go outside and head straight for the Alpha's house. He is waiting to see you. She placed her hand on the doorknob. You will know the house when you see it. Just tell the big guards at the door that Anastasia sent you. When you meet him, you will get all your answers. She walked out and shut the door before I could open my mouth to ask one single thing. I took a deep breath and forced myself to stand up on my bare feet. Ouch. A dull ache shot through my lower waist. I held onto the side of the bed to steady myself. I walked slowly out of the room and pushed the front doors open. Bright, warm sunlight hit my face instantly. It felt like years since I last saw the sun. I started walking down the dirt path. Wow. This pack territory was so much bigger and far more beautiful than my old home. I could easily see strong soldiers training in a large green field a mile away. The green grass, the tall trees, and the clean stone paths were just absolutely perfect. I looked closely at all the different buildings. One giant house stood out. It was completely different, much bigger, and a lot more beautiful than all the rest. That huge place had to be the Alpha's house. I began walking slowly toward the large metal gates. I was almost there when a small group of girls suddenly stepped right into my path, totally blocking my way. They crossed their arms, glaring at me with very mean, angry faces. The tallest girl standing right in the middle took one step closer to me. A nasty, wicked sneer twisted her lips. I guess you are the new little wretch trying to steal my boyfriend.I then stood up slowly, dusting the dirt off my skirt as a look of total defiance settled over my face. I looked straight into her eyes, refusing to let her see me look weak. "You are honestly just an old woman behaving like a spoiled child right now, Deborah," I snapped out , my voice dropping into a cold, sharp edge that filled the ruined hallway. "And for your information, absolutely no one is dragging your nephew with you. He is a grown man with a fully working mind of his own to choose exactly who he wants to be with. He chose me, not a bitter, old nagging bitch who is just deeply pained because things are completely not going her way for once in her life." Deborah’s jaw dropped open in absolute shock, her wrinkled face turning completely red from my harsh words. She tightened her arms over her expensive dress, a highly malicious, ugly smirk spreading across her lips as she took a slow step closer to me. "Well, all you can do right now is just rant, talk, and complain like a pat
I was completely frantic now, my heart hammering violently against my ribs as I gripped Ella’s shaking shoulders tightly. "What on earth is actually happening right now, Ella?" I demanded , my features wrinkling into a highly terrified scowl. "Why are you panicking like this? You are completely scaring me!" Ella swallowed hard, her wide eyes darting around the open courtyard as she shook her head rapidly. "I honestly can't say a single word about it out loud right now, Fedora," she whispered out frantically, her voice cracking under the immense pressure. "But you just have to come right now and see it for your own eyes. Please, just believe me, it is incredibly urgent!" A heavy wave of dread washed over me, and I immediately turned my body to follow her running steps. But before I could take a single leap forward, Elijah reached out his large hand and held my forearm firmly, stopping me in my tracks. His handsome features shifted into a highly serious, protective look as he looked d
Elijah shook his head slowly, his eyes widening just a fraction as he realized how shocked I was by his comment. "No, actually, I was just relaxing back at our home pack when my aunt came to me out of nowhere," he revealed , waving his hand slightly to explain the situation. "She suddenly suggested that we all come visit my big brother Michael because we usually like to visit this territory most times during regular intervals throughout the year. So, when we officially called his office to tell him that we were coming down, he didn't seem too happy about the news at all, which is pretty much his usual attitude anyway. And then he flatly told us on the phone that he was already planning on going somewhere incredibly important, but he said we can come anyways and he would absolutely be back before we left the palace." I let out a soft, relieved breath, my racing heart slowing down just a little bit as I absorbed his explanation. "Wow, that is really nice to hear," I murmured , a small
I let out a soft, nervous laugh, a deep blush creeping up my neck as I awkwardly scratched my dark hair. His unexpected praise was making my heart beat a little faster, and I looked down at my feet to hide my red face. "Thanks, Elijah," I murmured , a genuine smile breaking across my features. "I am honestly really flattered by your words, and I'm super grateful for the compliment. You just completely made my day after all that terrible drama with your mother." Elijah’s smile widened, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he watched my shy reaction with pure fascination. He took a small step closer, his broad shoulders relaxing. "Well, looking at you now, I guess you are going to be a very interesting person to be around, Fedora," he countered smoothly, his deep voice dropping into a warm, friendly tone. "And the truth is, I would really love to get to know much more about you while I am staying at this palace." My smile quickly faded into a highly cautious scowl, and I took a step b
I stood my ground fully, my chin lifting high as I stared directly into her blazing eyes. I refused to let her see me cry or back down from her cruel words. "Well, that is just too bad for you that Michael willingly went for this piece of trash then, isn't it?" I countered , my voice dropping into a cold, steady tone that cut right through her fury. "Because you are honestly just a highly bitter soul who loves creating unnecessary problems everywhere you go, I can see that clearly now." Deborah’s face turned completely purple with rage, her chest heaving violently. She raised her palm in the air, wanting to slap me across the face for a second time, but I was way too fast for her this time. I lunged forward and firmly held her wrists mid-air, blocking her strike with a tight, unyielding grip. "I completely respected you the very first time you hit me because you are Michael's aunt," I warned , my eyes narrowing as my fingers squeezed her skin. "But I absolutely promise you that I wo
The cruel, booming sound echoed off the high stone ceilings as all of them sitting at the long table bursted out in massive laughter all at once. The royal guards, the young girl, and even some of the stable boys standing by the doors completely shook with amusement, clutching their sides as if they could not hold their laughter in for another single second. I felt a massive wave of pure shame wash over my entire body, my cheeks burning so hot that I thought my skin might melt. I quickly sat down back in the nearest wooden chair, my trembling hands clutched tightly in my lap to hide how badly I was shaking. My mind was completely spinning in shock; I honestly didn't knew that this ancient bitch would be this incredibly rude to me on our very first meeting. She didn't even know me at all, yet she was already treating me like a piece of dirt on the floor. I swallowed down the lump of embarrassment in my throat and forced my head up, my features hardening into a furious glare as I clea
