My Alpha mate Kieran ordered our eight-year-old son to burn my mother alive because of his Omega assistant's lies.

I cried and begged the pack members around us to help me put out the fire.

"Mom—"

My mate and my own son, because of an Omega's lies and their complete lack of trust in me, really killed my mother who didn't have much time left anyway.

I stumbled and staggered as I lifted my mother's blood-soaked body onto my back, racing desperately toward the healing center.

My mother had already been poisoned with wolfsbane, losing her wolf and becoming extremely weak. Now, after being burned by those flames, I could feel her life slipping away bit by bit.

I carried my mother's charred body to the healing center, shouting loudly for a healer to come help.

But only a medical apprentice looked at me with difficulty.

"Don't shout, don't shout. All the healers are busy right now and don't have time for you. There's an Omega who fainted from excessive grief being treated in our facility, and the Alpha summoned all our healers to attend to her."

I placed my mother on a bed and ran like a madwoman to that room, wanting to beg them to save my mother's life.

But when I opened the door, I discovered that the important person was Kieran himself.

Sera was lying on the bed, with Kieran and Owen right there beside her. So he was the important person the apprentice mentioned, and Sera was the Omega who had fainted from grief.

I was supposed to be Kieran's mate, the pack's Luna, but right now they looked more like a family of three.

Sera instinctively leaned closer to Kieran.

"Aria, it's bad enough that you killed my pet dog, but why are you here lying about your mother being dead? Are you trying to get Alpha's attention on purpose? Trying to steal him away from me? I know you can't stand me, but please don't use such crude methods to humiliate me."

Her fragility made Kieran's eyes fill with heartache, but when he looked at me, his eyes were full of anger.

"Do you think I don't know your mother's condition? If you say another word like that here, believe me, I'll make sure the healers never treat your mother again."

I couldn't believe that the man who once loved me so much could say such things.

But I could only beg them through my heartbreak: "Really, I'm not lying. My mother is dying right now. She's on a bed downstairs..."

"Since you were cruel enough to kill Aunt Sera's pet dog and make her so upset, here's what we'll do. If you kowtow to Aunt Sera 100 times and give her a proper apology, I'll ask Dad to go save Grandma!"

Owen coldly interrupted me.

I stared at my once sweet and adorable son, unable to believe these words could come from his mouth.

The coldness in Owen's eyes was almost identical to Kieran's.

Just like I couldn't understand how the once gentle Kieran had become so heartless.

Back when Kieran was pursuing me, he filled our pack territory's night sky with my favorite purple fireworks, spent 100 million dollars to buy the most expensive healing stone in history to make my engagement ring.

On my birthday, he covered our entire villa with my favorite moonflowers and proposed to me on one knee in front of everyone, causing a sensation throughout the pack. Only then did I believe his feelings were genuine.

After our mating ceremony, he rejected all other she-wolves and only had eyes for me.

Even after we had Owen, his love for me never diminished by even a fraction.

Owen used to be so well-behaved and understanding, incredibly clingy with me, always saying I was the best mother in the world.

But then Sera appeared, and everything changed.

I looked at Kieran with my last bit of hope, hoping he would say something fair.

But he didn't even glance at me, his eyes full of tenderness as he fed Sera her medicine.

Thinking of my mother lying on the bed downstairs, I had no choice but to kneel down in humiliation and kowtow, over and over again. My wolf had been severely injured while saving these two in the past and never fully healed, so I had no healing abilities. The kowtowing left my head bloody and broken.

A flash of satisfaction crossed Sera's face as she lay there watching me kowtow.

"Just because you're a Luna doesn't mean you can bully others with your status. I'll never forgive you. You killed my Peter. I have no family, and that pet dog was my only friend! He was my only emotional support!"

I looked with complete indifference at the travel-worn father and son before me.They looked like they hadn't slept in weeks. Kieran's usually pristine Alpha appearance was gone - his clothes wrinkled, his hair disheveled, dark circles under his bloodshot eyes. Owen looked even worse, his small frame trembling as he stood behind his father."Aria..." Kieran's voice cracked as he spoke my name.I felt nothing. Not even a flicker of the love I once felt for him."What are you doing here?"Kieran's eyes immediately reddened as he tried to step closer. "Aria, I'm sorry. I know I did wrong. Please forgive me. You're my true mate. I've already given Sera the punishment she deserved. Now that you're back, please don't leave again."I could smell the desperation rolling off him in waves. His Alpha pheromones were all wrong - weak, pleading, broken."The punishment she deserved?" I laughed bitterly. "What about the punishment you deserve?"Owen suddenly lunged forward, trying to grab my hand. "

Owen knelt beside his father and made the same praying gesture. His small hands clasped together as tears streamed down his soot-covered face.Mom.I don't want anyone else to be my mother anymore.I don't want any other family.Dad and I have already avenged all the wrongs you suffered. We burned the woman who hurt you, just like she burned Grandma. Please come back, okay?Owen misses you so much it hurts to breathe. But at that time, I was already far away in the Northern Snow Pack.I couldn't hear a single word of this father and son's desperate repentance.I was sitting in my cozy pastry shop, watching the falling snow through the window. The gentle white flakes reminded me to let go of the past and embrace the present.I told myself not to think about the old days anymore. I should start a new life here, for myself and for my mother's memory.I had used the precious gemstones I'd brought to buy this charming little shop in the heart of the pack territory. My days were simple but

Owen's small face twisted with rage as he glared at Sera. His young voice carried a venom that chilled the air."If you hadn't repeatedly driven a wedge between me and my mother, how could she have left me!""Every single day you whispered poison in our ears! Every single day you made us doubt her!""I used to think you were kind and gentle, but you're nothing but a lying snake!"The father and son's attitude plummeted drastically.Gone was any trace of the protection and care they had once shown her. Their eyes held nothing but pure hatred and disgust.Sera burst into maniacal laughter, her eyes filled only with the madness of someone facing death. Her face was streaked with tears and blood, but she laughed as if she'd heard the funniest joke in the world."You father and son are truly ridiculous! If you hadn't stopped caring about her, how would I have had the chance to switch them out!""Don't you get it? I only succeeded because you were already failing her!""You want to blame me?

"Forever?""Forever."Kieran closed his eyes in complete despair. He hadn't expected me to make such a decisive choice, though he should have.He wasn't afraid of me fighting or making a scene - he was afraid of me having no reaction at all.And that's exactly what was happening. I had moved beyond anger into cold indifference.Yes, he had killed my mother and desecrated her grave. He was truly the greatest villain in the world. The irony wasn't lost on him that Blue Note Bar was where he and I first met.Where he had fallen in love with my laugh, my kindness, my beautiful soul.So let it end where it all began. After a sleepless night spent staring at photos of happier times, red-eyed Kieran brought Owen to Blue Note Bar.They looked like survivors of some terrible disaster - hollow-eyed, broken, aged beyond their years.I was already sitting there waiting for them, and the sight of me nearly brought Kieran to his knees.I looked... different. Healthier. There was a glow about me that

Kieran's hands trembled as he opened the memory crystal, his wolf instincts already sensing that whatever was inside would destroy him completely. The first video loaded, and his world cracked apart.Inside the memory crystal was everything - all of Sera's provocations against me, captured in secret recordings and hidden camera footage.Video after video of Sera mocking me when she thought no one was watching."That stupid Luna actually thinks Kieran loves her," Sera laughed to herself in one clip. "He's already mine. She just doesn't know it yet."Another video showed Sera's medical records, clearly displaying her severe allergy to wolf fur. The documents were stamped and verified by three different healers. She couldn't possibly keep a pet dog. She couldn't even be in the same room as one without breaking out in hives. The most damning footage was from the night my mother died.Sera grinning viciously as she directed the Gammas to switch out the training dummy for my mother."Make su

The crisp sound of a slap rang out, echoing through the medical center.Sera staggered backward, her hand flying to her burning cheek in shock.Never, in all the months of manipulation, had Kieran ever laid a hand on her.Kieran's face was carved from ice, his Alpha aura pressing down on her like a physical weight."You better not have lied to me, Sera. Because if I find out you have, I'll make you pay back a thousandfold!""I'll make you experience every moment of pain you caused my family!"Owen stepped forward, and despite his young age, he radiated the same intimidating aura as his father. The resemblance between them had never been more obvious."Aunt Sera, if I find out everything you said was lies, then however you bullied my mother, I'll bully you back the same way!""I'm not a little kid anymore. I know what real cruelty looks like now."Sera stumbled backward, covering her stinging cheek with both hands. She realized things weren't developing the way she'd expected at all.Wh
