Curtis remained silent as he carried Margot on his back as they walked through the darkness of the night. She also chose to remain silent.

Perhaps it was dark, and there were strange sounds everywhere. It was so dark that they couldn't see their fingers, which made her feel a bit scared. Her face pressed tighter against his head.

After walking for a while, Curtis finally asked, "Since you're here, what about Lilac? Did you take her to the Crosby residence?"

Curtis suddenly became unhappy again, his tone turning cold.

"You brought her here too? Why did you bring her? If both of you come up, what about Lilac?"
