Beneath the Storm

"Aren't you going to start explaining yourself?" Kiera charged looking tensed; she was beginning to feel bad about the whole situation she was dragging them into. Unfortunately, she had already started her mini interrogation and there was no turning back.

They both were going to leave no stones unturned and resolve this once and for all.

"Can we please not talk about this? This is the second or third time you're bringing this up. We have talked about this; I have cleared the air, why can't you trust me?"

She bit her lips in doubt, she wanted to trust her husband so badly but fear had taken the upper hand. She could not risk losing her family to what can be easily avoided on time.

"I'm still scared James. Whenever I try to trust you and believe what you say, something just comes up. It's like I'm discovering a new layer of this incident all over again. I can't just sit around doing nothing while the roof over my head is being set on fire" she explained.

"What is even wrong with you? What has gotten over you?" James wondered.

"I don't know! Okay?!" Kiera yelled, tears threatening to fall down her cheeks and her forehead bearing worry lines jagged across it. "All you have to do is tell me, we can work on this together and you'll be vindicated. You don't have to join them even if they are cajoling you to do it. Just answer my question" she blurted out raggedly.

"Why don't you ever listen?! What exactly have I been caught with that you can't trust me anymore?! I have tried to make you see reasons with me but you are so adamant about leaving this Mafia fucking organization talk! It's sickening me to the bones........."

Tessa peeped through the opening in the door and watched with great sadness, when have her parents started yelling at each other for God knows what? They have always been the happiest family she knows but now she stared in confusion and tears in her eyes as her family is slowly falling apart.

What went wrong? Is that happens in other families? She wondered helplessly.

There has to be a way right?

"I had you and the group investigated!" she blurted out in frustration.

Agitation was getting the better of her, they had just running back and forth on the matter. She just couldn't bear the fact that they could be a possibility that her husband was neck deep in crime. It was killing her.

"Your name was found belonging to the group. Although little information was found about the organization, your name was there and....... I don't even know", tears streamed down her face.

James wrinkled his eyebrows in anger. Truly Kiera was getting on his nerves and he had to end this before it escalates further.

But then..

Tessa could not bear the sight of her parents' argument and busted into tears alerting her parents who were so occupied with their meaningless argument, they rushed to her side and tried to console her.

"Princess, why didn't you go to your room when mummy asked you to?" Kiera asked in worry, "What's wrong, are you scared?"

All questions and consolation to pry out Tessa's reason for her sudden outburst went down the drain; they had completely forgotten they were quarreling because all their attention was now on their precious little daughter.

At the end of the whole drama, they were able to get her to stop wailing and now she was requesting going to bed.

"Mummy, promise me you'd stop yelling at daddy and accusing him and daddy promise me you won't be angry with mummy anymore" she pleaded with puppy eyes.

"I promise" they said in unison and surprise.

"Okay. Good night, I love both so much" she smiled widely, kissed them both on the cheeks and went to sleep.

None of their legs moved for a minute or two. Each of them was lost in their own thoughts on the next move to take. James was still upset with Kiera leaving her on the losing side, she made up her mind to apologize to him and make things up until another opportunity presented itself for this issue.

She would lay low for the meantime to uncover this truth; she won't let it go until the whole truth is out!

She walked numbly behind James as he muttered in surprise on Tessa's abrupt behavior; it completely threw him of balance and almost made him forget his wife's lethal accusations that she threw at his face.

Why couldn't she let matters die peacefully without poking it? This was definitely going to rain trouble on her.

He took a side of the bed and proceeded to go to bed to avoid anymore confrontations or further matters arising, but as he closed his eyes, a hand moved calmly over his arm.

He was backing her so she couldn't have much access to him, he was still pissed and he made a mental note to avoid her henceforth.

Kiera on the other hand had considered what her daughter told her and she was also tired of creating arguments with her husband. It has been draining her to her soul.

"Babe" she whispered calmly, no answer. She moved her hands up and down his arms gently again but no response again.

He was really bent on giving her the cold shoulder this night. Well she wasn't going to give up.

Her hands went to his back and rubbed it lightly like she was applying lotion on his body, drawing incomprehensible lines on this body. Her efforts were looking like a waste and she wasn't going to spend the whole night drawing patterns on him.

She raised herself up from her lying position, lowering only her upper body to kiss him on his cheek.

She worked her way from his cheek to his ear, shoulder and to his neck settling there. His sharp breath signaled he wasn't sleeping yet and although he was angry, she was gradually breaking his wall.

She smiled in satisfaction and continued her deed.

James tried to resist her but his wife knows what could trigger him to respond to her touches despite his current emotion. He stayed in the same position for about a minute or two while his wife worked to impress him.

After a while of body kisses, caress and whispering sweet nonsense into his ears, he finally found courage to tell her off.

"If you think I'm going to fall for your gimmicks this time, I can tell you if boldly that it won't work. You have to........"

She moved immediately to his lips as he turned to push her off. Kiera kissed him deeply, forcing him to swallow the rest of the sentence. She didn't stop until he felt like melting; she kept on kissing him while her hands worked its way to his dick.

She broke off the kiss but still kept him speechless with her hand job, "I'm so sorry my love, I know I have abused this word lately and I can't assure you of being so quiet about this but I have to really clarify my mind on a lot of things"

"Shit!" was all he could mutter, Kiera was taking him to the peak. He grabbed her and kissed her roughly filling his tongue in her mouth.

He kissed the nape of her neck and nuzzled the soft skin beneath her ear; she shivered lightly, cuddled up in his arms with the heat from their bodies spreading.

But she wanted more.
