The detective Ryan had hired was yet to find the island and even though Ryan was desperate, he couldn't blame him.

When his father obbessed about finding it in the past many years, at one point he began to think it didn't even exist but he had been there, stayed there for days and even escaped there. The only problem was he was unconscious during the escape hence he didn't know exactly where the island was.
