XURDEN frowned as the demon changed form. The demon took the form of a man wearing a suit printed with colorful flowers. His long hair covered his face so he couldn’t see him. Xurden thought the two were together. The course of his mind changed only when the demon raised his sword, wrapped in black energy. The witch didn’t even feel the demon as Veronica kept looking at him. He tried to free himself from the chains again because if he couldn’t get out, the demon’s deadly attack would hit him.

He only understood that the demon did not go there to help the witch in fighting him when the demon spoke.

“I finally see you,” said the demon in his deep voice. “You really came.”

Hearing this, the witch turned to the demon. When Veronica’s eyes met the demon’s, he slashed his sword, releasing the dark energy that covered the blade. The witch dodged to save herself, but her hand holding the vial could not escape. The slash cut the flesh to the bone near the elbow.

The witch’s hand just fell.
