Fury was an understatement of what Harvey was feeling. He was livid. He had more plans for Rory at the breakfast table, and he dared to run off. Did he forget about what he had over his head?

He clenched his hands over the screen of his phone, glaring a dagger at it, like he wanted it to transform into a mystical being or something.

‘Hey whore… Why did you leave? I wasn’t done with you yet?’

Silence.

Biting his bottom lip, he double texted—he never did—‘Send me a picture of your cum cock and your stained pants. I’m sure it’s red and messy.’

No reply. He waited. He didn’t know why, but he was making excuses for Rory’s silence in his head. Dumb reasons for his silence. But as seconds turned to minutes, rage and wounded pride filled his chest.

Heidi blinked, shocked at Rory’s attitude. Her shock soon turned into anger and disappointment.

“That boy never learns. Honestly, I wonder each day what to do with me.”

“He is a growing kid, Heidi.”

Heidi’s lips bent to a frown as she let out a scoff. “You are always quick to defend him.”

Nicholas slammed his cup on the table; shockingly, it didn’t shatter. “You are always quick, ready, and sharp to berate and insult him. God forbid you say a nice word to him.”

She gasped at his harsh words. “What?!! I do say good things to him.”

“Yeah? When?” Nicholas riled up a challenge.

Silence.

His eyes turned to slits as he willed himself to calm down. Getting mad at her didn’t make sense, and he didn’t want to seem suspicious to anyone.

Harvey continued to glare at his phone. Still no response from Rory.

‘Has he washed it off? Wiped himself and changed out of his shorts to a clean pair?’ The questions rained in his head; they occupied him so much he didn’t even hear Heidi speak to him.

“Are those hickeys from Kendall? It would be good, very effective, if you impregnated her; then she would have no choice but to stay with you.” She nodded approvingly to Harvey’s sex life.

She always did. Harvey broke the dishes? Well, they were old and ugly anyway. Harvey did drugs? Peer pressure and bad influence.

There was always a reason in Heidi’s eyes for Harvey.

So seeing him not respond to her hurt her.

“Harvey?”

“Harvey, your mother is talking to you.” Nicholas barked at him, channeling his anger to him.

Harvey and Nicholas were the same. Both had muscular builds, jet-black hair, and sharp blue eyes. Difference? One was old, the other was young; other than that, they were carbon copy of each other.

While Rory and Heidi only had one thing in common. They both had brown eyes, and you couldn’t even count it as common, as her ex-husband also had brown eyes. So you couldn’t even say they looked alike with that understanding.

Rory got his pale skin, red hair, and brown eyes from his Irish scumbag of a father. He looked nothing like her.

When Harvey glared at Heidi, she flinched and disguised it by clenching her fork.

“What?” He asked meanly.

“I asked about the hickey and how your relationship is with Kendall.”

Harvey scoffed and rolled his eyes before shooting from his seat.

“Harvey…” Nicholas’s voice was low and threatening. The son knew if he looked at his father now, he would quake—and he hated it—so he kept his eyes on his mother.

“I am not Rory. Don’t try to control my life.” He spat, picking up his phone and storming out to Rory’s room.

“I’m… not…” Heidi murmured, her voice low, her appetite gone.

Now she was the one playing with her food.

 ────୨ৎ────

Harvey barges into Rory’s room without knocking, startling the red-haired. His tone was cold and pissed.

“Got an attitude problem after a single night without sucking my dick, you cunt?” His footsteps echoed in his room. “Or didn’t you forget what I have over you?”

Rory lifted his arm from across his face and glared at Harvey with utter hatred in his eyes. He hated Harvey with every being and fiber in his body.

His cold brown eyes never left Harvey’s annoyingly similar ones. “I haven’t forgotten. How could I?”

A confident glint sparked in his eyes, but soon died at Rory’s next words. “But I don’t need to obey you anymore.”

“What?” The coldness in his voice disturbed Rory; it was cruel, dark, and peeved. And he was ready to back down so soon—he hated it.

Harvey moved around his phone, still glaring at Rory as the treacherous video played.

‘—fuck—daddy, please, please… Do me, do me more!!! Do me harder!! Please, please, please don’t stop.’

“Did you forget about him? Or do you think our disciplinary, perfect ‘daddy’ won’t hate you? Won’t he be disgusted when he finds out about your little previous secret?”

He took threatening steps towards him as Rory shifted more towards the edge of the bed.

“Besides, you little whore. You enjoyed it, didn’t you?” He asked, leaning over him, his knee digging into his bed. He trailed his hands over the dampness of his shorts.

“Let me see my handiwork.” Harvey pushes Rory down as he makes a move to strip him of his clothes, not just shorts.

This time, Rory struggles with him. Just today, just one day. Let him have the lingering feeling of his father on his body. He didn’t even want to bathe. He had hoped to finish breakfast quickly and have a brief fantasy about yesterday. So he did not wish to be defiled by his nasty elder brother.

An annoyed glint flared in Harvey’s eyes. “Why are you fighting me? You loved it under the table, didn’t you? I mean, after all, you came; I felt the heat.” His brow furrowed deeply.

Harvey didn’t want to believe Rory didn’t enjoy having his touch on his body. Rory didn’t enjoy getting a hand job from him?

That wounded his ego.

He threw his phone onto the nearest couch and used two hands to forcibly lift Rory’s shirt above his head.

“I will give you more. I know you want more and—” His words got stuck in his throat as he stared at Rory’s body. Hickeys were everywhere. Harvey paused for a minute. Just a minute, but it felt like hours—gut-wrenching hours to Rory.

Then a low chuckle left his lips. Harvey slowly raised his head, and that day, Rory knew what blue eyes looked like when they were furious.

“WHERE. THE. HELL. WERE. YOU. LAST. NIGHT? YOU SLUT!!!!”

Slap!

Rory felt his ear ringing from the slap that was thrown across his face. He was too stunned to speak.

Calmly rubbing at the growing reddened cheek, Harvey continued. “That’s right, I called you to the hotel last night, and you never came. You left me for another man? How dare you?” He dug his nails into his cheeks, possibly leaving a mark on them.

But words failed to form in Rory’s throat. And his silence only fueled his anger.

Forcing his legs open, he placed himself between them and, lifting them over his head, pulled the shorts at the same time.

And the fluids from his father, which he had been saving for later today, leaked.

“Ah!! I see. I am sorry.” Harvey muttered, shoving two of his fingers in his open ass.

“I am sorry. Really sorry. I thought I would go easy on you and take it slow, but you seem to be eager. So… eager, you go to another person.” Stretching his ass and choking him at the same time.

“I will fuck you… just the way you want. I will fuck you senseless! You will forget that man’s pathetic dick.”

Just as he was pulling his own cock from his sweats, the door was thrown open. Harvey was yanked from Rory and simultaneously punched hard across the face.

“WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING TO YOUR BROTHER!!!”

Now that the conversation was done, Christy was ready to head back home. She had achieved her plan and needed to leave for much more important things. There was no way in hell she would go back into the house and join her parents. They would definitely flaunt her around like some pre-made, pre-molded merchandise. She would rather head home and edit some videos or pictures. She didn’t take any during the party; she didn’t even bother to announce where she was going to her fans or do a get ready with me video. It was all in her plan. She wanted to keep Rory a secret for as long as she possibly could. And him not even having a social media account, not even a social media presence, she was sure Rory was her diamond in the rough. And she wanted to keep her ‘diamond’ deep in the dirt, because if she was thinking right on her revenge, she was sure Rory would see the dark side of her that the internet has never and will never see in their life.Right now, on her to-do list, she has to edit s

Rory went to her back and gave a slight push. She held herself with her umbrella as she let herself feel the wind hit against her skin. They were like this for a few minutes. The music from the party was long lost due to their distance from the building.“As I was saying,”Rory slowed his push to listen to her.“I don’t want to marry. It should be a no-brainer, actually. Marrying a guy I never knew and even just knowing about him the day before?”She explained, and truly, she was making sense with what she was saying. The mere fact that they knew about each other just the day before was bizarre to think about.“And I am guessing you feel the same way.”“Yes. I also do not wish to marry you.”Christine hummed as she eyed her a bit more. “May I ask why?”“Why? Did I hurt your feelings?”She snorted and let out a light scoff. “As if. I have millions of people fawning over me; I doubt I care for another.”“Oh, really?” He asked, amused by her words."Yeah. Honestly, I’m after another thin

Isabella watched with twinkling eyes while Heidi looked at her with confusion. “Why did you do that? You should not have said anything and just let it slide.”Isa humphs like a little kid, looking away from the men to Heidi. “What? I told him he should keep his distaste for Rory at home. It didn’t matter if he was his blood or not, but he didn’t listen.”“And you chose this approach? Aren’t you worried about the outcome?”Heidi was familiar with men and their temper. She was grateful Nicholas was more on the restrained and nonchalant side, but even she didn’t dare to push his buttons too much.“Scared of what? He is someone I raised from the ground up; I can easily ruin him just as easily as pulling the rug from beneath his legs. And he would be like the tale.”“The tale?”“Yes, one where the man falls from grace to grass…” She grinned maliciously. She was a logical woman. She never loved Callum, and whether he knew it or not, it didn’t matter to her. Back in the day, Callum was the o

  • Knots of Kinship   Chapter 26—Conversation

Air left Rory’s lungs as he looked behind him, matching towards the balcony door; he peeked out to it, his red hair tussling as he looked left and right before turning back to Christy.“Why would you say such a thing?!” He asked in a loud whisper. Shrugging her shoulders, she dropped the two champagne flutes she was holding on the rail.Rory eyed her for a bit before letting go of a sigh and walking back to her.“Champagne?”He just didn’t understand her. She was all over the place at this point, and it was really confusing and a bit frustrating. But she was offering a drink; who was he to resist it?“Thanks,” he mumbled. They stayed like that, just staring at the tree in front of them like they had some evil agenda against it or something.“This is some fine wine.”“Can we talk about what you literally just said minutes ago?” Rory ducked his head down, closer to her ears. She shivered as his breath tickled her neck. “You know about not wanting to marry me.”She also leaned closer to

Rory understood riches; after all, he was from a rich family. But it seemed like his father didn’t know how to use his ‘riches,’ as Rory couldn’t comprehend why or how you would have a ballroom in your house.Renting an event hall would be better than actively owning a ballroom in your house. But it wasn’t as though he was related to these people or anything, so it really wasn’t his business how and what they sent their money on.But…still…His eyes trailed through the high ceilings that had chandelier lights hanging from them, gold and silver lights all mixed and shining. The drive pulled to a stop. Alden’s estate loomed before them. The build was grand and luxurious. You could tell a lot more money was put into this than I thought. It was a luxurious manor of white stones and a sprawling shrub garden.Rory stepped out, head still in phone, scrolling through Harvey and his girlfriend’s Insta Life page. It seemed Harvey lived a different life than the one he showed at home.Balling with friends, partying at home, dates, and birthdays. s. It seemed like it was always fun and exciting for him.“Don’t make me smack that phone off your hands and into the gutter.” He heard his mother’s low, threatening voice from beside him.She felt like the devil standing behind you and threatening your well-being.
