LYKA'S POV

Axel and I could clearly hear the wolves fighting above ground. Sometimes my mom's howl or my dad's snarls could be identified, but I paid attention to nothing else.

Everyone else besides me and my brother stayed in the other rooms, getting comfortable or being scared for their lives. Honestly, I can't blame them. If I hadn't gotten a boost of energy I would be scared as well. Funny how bravery makes me seem older.

I turned over to Axel and his eyes were glowing like Mom or Dad.
