Stumbling down an alley, Kate soon came on an intersection between roads. She didn't need to risk getting a heart attack from taking another look back to know they were closing in on her.

Her trembling lips were about to let out a scream of terror when, as if conjured by magic, a black maybach skid down to a halt just in front of her. If she'd moved a step forward from where she stood, she'd have walked right into its path!
