Meanwhile, Katleah lay flat on the grass at Forbes Park and put on a thin blanket; she used the suitcase as her pillow. She lay down and gazed at the twinkling stars in the sky. She appears to be crying due to her grandmother and parents' absence, those who made her experience genuine affection. Her life would not have turned out this way if they were still alive. She has no desire to become wealthy. To her, it's all about making her family happy. She remembered what her grandmother had said before she died.
"Katleah, I know I won't be around for long; you need to know your true identity. Make sure you find your birth parents no matter what!”
Her grandmother's words stunned her. "I'm perplexed, Grandma; who are my biological parents? Didn't they die in an accident?"
“I'm telling the truth, Katleah; your mother rescued you from the burning orphanage.”
Her face was frozen. She couldn't believe that, after eighteen years, she would discover that the family she thought was her real family had just adopted her. If this is the case, who are her biological parents? For what reason did they allow her to get away? Why didn't they look for her after missing her for so long? How can she find her real parents if she doesn't even know their names or addresses?
Following her grandmother's funeral, she decided to sell the remaining properties left to her by the family she recognized. She used the remaining funds to travel to Manila for an excellent job. It was one of her first steps toward saving money for her studies and seeing her real family.
She looked up at the sky again and noticed three stars that were distinct from the rest. They were prominent compared to the others. Even if it looked like it was going to rain, that was no excuse for not noticing their unique brilliance. Her heart was heavy with sorrow and the pain of missing her loved ones. Even now, she suffers from the emotional wounds left by their unexpected death.
“I pray you are at peace in heaven, Mom, Dad, and Grandma. I hope you'll keep guiding me down the path I'm on. I know I can get through this, but mom, the pain is so bad right now. You'd think I got kicked out of my rental house because I can't pay anymore. Why did you leave me? Please send me a sign right now. At the very least, I can sense your presence here with me. Mom, Dad, and Grandma, I miss you all.”
She closed her eyes and let her tears fall down her cheeks. It's her only way to get rid of the weight on her chest. It was as if she could communicate with her parents this way. But, as her tears flowed, the heavy rain began to fall. But she ignored it. She assumed that was the sign she had requested. She smiled as she closed her eyes and enjoyed the feeling of the rain on her body, knowing that they understood her sadness and tears. She was in such a state when someone abruptly pulled her two arms up to make her stand. He unexpectedly hugged her, which caught her off guard. The man's hot and fragrant breath tickles the back of his ear. She had never felt anything like this before. The rain is drenching them both, but neither seems to care. Hearing each other's heartbeat creates an eerie feeling between them.
While not far away, Tomas watched the two bosses get soaked in the rain. Tomas could only shake his head. He's been Marco's driver for a long time, and when James, his bodyguard, and secretary, is not present, he is always with him. He alternates driving with his boss. He doesn't understand his boss's recent actions. Is his boss in love? He believes his boss will turn two soon.
He recalled that his boss had gotten out of the car not long after they arrived and stared absently at the woman, lying on the grass a ways off. His boss had observed the woman for approximately thirty minutes when it began to rain. He looked around to see if his boss needed an umbrella but was surprised when he didn't spot him. Instead, he saw him hugging the woman. He shook his head in disbelief at what his boss was doing.
“These days, young people are a romantic bunch. They're still unaware that they're in love?” His boss is a man of few words and hasty action. “He feels love but can't bring himself to say it." He thought.
Nonetheless, Katleah was still stunned by how quickly everything had happened. Her mind and body couldn't coordinate that she was now hugging the man. His signature manly aroma was like a customary remedy designed to heal her. Leaning against his chest, she let herself begin to mend from the wound of losing her loved ones.
Marco, on the other hand, can't stop hugging Katleah. When he found out what she was going through, he felt sad and sorry for the woman. After parking, Marco intended to approach her and inquire why she had chosen to spend the night in the park. But he came to a halt when he heard what she was saying as she gazed up at the sky. Standing there for a few moments while watching her, Marco wasn't sure whether to approach the woman. When he saw her crying in the rain, he wanted to wrap his arms around her and reassure her that he was nearby and willing to share in her emotional pain.
He waited until the girl appeared to be at ease before asking.
"Why didn't you mention earlier that you had no place to stay?"
Katleah raised her head from leaning against the man's chest, and their gazes met. They both stared at each other, their lips moving closer and closer together. Right, they were almost kissing when Katleah moved away. She was worried that she would develop romantic feelings for him. What if she fell in love in the long run?
Katleah squirmed out of Marco's grasp quickly. She averted her gaze and asked calmly."Why are you here? Didn't you leave earlier? Why did you return?""Just answer my question. How come you're just lying here as the rain pours down? Would you like to get sick?" Marco asks with concern."That doesn't matter to you. I mean, really, why are you being so annoying? What exactly are you up to? Why? Did I invite you to soak in the rain with me here? I'm not, right?" she asked Marco ponderously.Marco frowned at the girl's response to him. The fact that she became even gloomier due to his worries surprised him."Are you women truly this way? Do you become enraged when a man expresses concern for you? Why are you this way? You have such a bad temper," Marco stated as his brows met."Oh! That makes me the villain, huh? Because I didn't treat you well, despite your concern. Why? Did I ask you to worry about me? That's the reason why I didn't want to let you know that I planned to spend the nig
When she opened her eyes, she was in a place that was strange to her. She shifted her gaze and looked around. The small table next to her bed caught her eye right away. Resting on top was what appeared to be an unopened bottle of medication and a small basin with a wet towel next to it. She started to get up, but then she felt lightheaded. Her thoughts are hazy at best right now. It was to her bed that she went back to sleep. Before she could leave the house and track down Marco, she had to muster up the nerve. Why was he bringing her here? She can't afford to pay the rent in this large and expensive room. Wait a minute, why is she dressed in different clothes? She screamed when she saw herself under the blanket. She quickly turned around to see that she was wearing a different outfit. What happened to my clothes? Who put on my clothes? Oh my! She had a dream about kissing Marco the night before. She was overjoyed because they had the same feelings for each other. Is it, however, a dr
DELA VEGA CORP. CONFERENCE ROOM "Alright! That's all I've got for now. You are free to leave! Marco abruptly ended the meeting. He can't focus on the discussed reports of the department heads of each department because Katleah's face is all he sees in his mind. He was agitated and excited whenever he imagined he would always be with her tomorrow. All employees bow their heads as they rush out of the conference room, fearful of being noticed and upsetting their boss. "James?" "Yes, Boss?" "Set up the space inside my office. I'd like you to put it on another table. It's on the side where I can easily see it." Scratching his head, he asked, "Wait, Boss, what is the other table in your office for?" "James? Who's the boss, me or you? Perhaps you're thinking of staying at home during your next vacation. Just tell me, I don't want a secretary who asks too many questions." "Just kidding, boss. Hehe, I'm going to clean up your office right away. By the way, boss, Sandra Montenegro will
Katleah is still reeling from what happened earlier. The more he seems to interfere with her life, the more he annoys her. She didn't want to think he had feelings for her, but with everything Marco had done for her in the last few days, should she? No, she is unable to fall in love with a man. She is terrified of being hurt. So she doesn't want to think about it until she meets her real parents. Upon hearing Marco's voice, she immediately regained composure."Why were you in such a rush to return to the supermall? Didn't I tell you you had nothing to do but relax at home?""How kind you are, Mr. Dela Vega, but I should let you know that I won't be telling you everything I want to do. Who am I to you, anyway? We don't have enough of a relationship for me to even consider saying goodbye to you before I leave."He froze when the girl gave a seemingly unrelated response to his inquiry. Why did it turn into what kind of relationship we have? As he turned to face Katleah, he smiled mischie
When Katleah opened her bedroom door, she found a pile of shopping bags on her bed. She read what he wrote on the card placed next to it."For you, my wife. Hope you like it." From Your Husband.Upon reading it, a grin formed on her face. She admits that Marco's extreme sweetness draws her heart to him, but she knows it has a twin suffering. Unfortunately for her, she is only marrying Marco because of his father.Seeing the contents of the shopping bags temporarily lifted her spirits. There are expensive sleeping sets, office attire, dresses, and lingeries, to name a few. Her face flushed instantly. She seemed reluctant to go out to dinner with Marco as if she was too timid to do so. She hadn't anticipated that man personally purchasing her lingeries.THE NEXT DAY, She got up early to prepare for her first day as Marco's secretary. She quickly left her room after getting dressed and applying light makeup. Her gaze looked at Marco initially, but she didn't spot him. She exited the Mans
"Hey! We're not done yet, asshole. Keep that in mind!" Sandra yelled angrily."You'll also remember that I never give up!" Katleah responded to the woman right away. They clenched their fists and turned their backs on each other.Katleah walked into Marco's office, leaving James outside with his lips still parted. "Couldn't these two cause the boss problems? It's a good thing I'm not as attractive as my boss." He pondered.Katleah acts in her usual manner while in Marco's office. She didn't express her annoyance with him. Even though her chest felt like it was going to explode with that monkey woman, she knew precisely her limit. "Hmm, she thought I was afraid of her?" she asked, frowning.Marco couldn't take his eyes off the strange beauty in front of him. In her corporate attire, the former became even more attractive and professional. Her aura is brave now, but why does she appear angry?""Come here, baby. "Why do I have the impression that my wife is angry?" he inquired tenderly.
They were in the car together, but neither wanted to initiate a conversation. Katleah climbed into Marco's car because he had dispatched the driver who had taken her to work earlier. During the trip, Marco was the first to speak. "Baby, where do you want to eat?" When Tomas heard his boss's dulcet voice say, "Baby," he glanced back at the two ants behind him as if his hair were trying to protest the boss's actions. When he noticed his boss staring at him intently as if he wanted to throw him to the side, he immediately turned his gaze to the road. Though his boss was a demon to the rest of the staff, when it came to Katleah, he became a sinless angel. Katleah, on the other hand, was deep in thought. For a while, she didn't notice Marco talking to her. "Baby? What are you thinking? "He asked the girl. "Huh? Are you saying something?" Katleah responded, perplexed, "Yes, quite some time ago. I asked where you wanted to eat. Because I planned to eat outside, I didn't let Martha cook
CITY HALL OF JUSTICE: MARCO & KATLEAH DELA VEGA WEDDINGKatleah and Marco got out of the car in front of the City Hall of Justice together. As they enter the building, Katleah considers revealing her identity to Marco."Babe, do you think it's okay if I marry you and then I find out that my birth certificate might not be accurate?" Katleah inquired about Marco."Why, baby, does your birth certificate have a mistake?""I don't know my actual age, babe. Grandma told me they only saw me outside the burning orphanage before she died. The fact that I don't speak and instead cry has led them to assume that I'm much younger than I am. Therefore, I have no idea of my current age.""For now," Marco told her, "Don't worry, babe, no matter the truth, it still doesn't affect our marriage," meaning she should accept the information listed on her birth certificate. Katleah was about to respond once more when three men appeared in front of the two of them."What a bummer, man. Why did you suddenly g
