Katleah squirmed out of Marco's grasp quickly. She averted her gaze and asked calmly.
"Why are you here? Didn't you leave earlier? Why did you return?"
"Just answer my question. How come you're just lying here as the rain pours down? Would you like to get sick?" Marco asks with concern.
"That doesn't matter to you. I mean, really, why are you being so annoying? What exactly are you up to? Why? Did I invite you to soak in the rain with me here? I'm not, right?" she asked Marco ponderously.
Marco frowned at the girl's response to him. The fact that she became even gloomier due to his worries surprised him.
"Are you women truly this way? Do you become enraged when a man expresses concern for you? Why are you this way? You have such a bad temper," Marco stated as his brows met.
"Oh! That makes me the villain, huh? Because I didn't treat you well, despite your concern. Why? Did I ask you to worry about me? That's the reason why I didn't want to let you know that I planned to spend the night here. She quickly hid her mouth because of the last thing she had said. She turned away from him and was about to leave when he spoke.
"So you're going to sleep here?"
"Well, what does it matter to you if I sleep here? You don't care," she said as she kept walking.
"Look, I don't give a damn, but I can't exactly ignore my fiance, can I?" He responded right away.
She scowled at the man's response. She gave him her disquieting gaze. Is there no way your face can get thinner? It's far too thick. Why? Did I agree? It is not in my plans to marry you. What you said to me is still in my mind. You came back here to ask me about the offer, right? So, here's my response. A resounding "NO!" I don't want any of your money, so please don't bother me, anymore. She immediately turned around and walked out of the park.
She'd walked for quite some time when she suddenly remembered something. She dashed back to look for her suitcase, but it was nowhere to be found. Her gaze darted around the park when she noticed a man dragging her suitcase into a black car, and she dashed after him.
"Hey! Man! That's my luggage! He's a baddie! Why did he take my suitcase when I was broke?
Quickly, she made her way to the car where the man had left her luggage.
Her breathless knocks echoed against the tent's glass window. That's how surprised she was when the car door unexpectedly opened, revealing Marco's handsome face sitting complacently and elegantly inside. He also put on dry clothes. Though it's just a plain white T-shirt, it doesn't look like he skimped on quality. She swallowed what she was about to say when her gaze landed on the stiff muscles in his arm. Being in his arms earlier gave her the impression that she was safe, and that feeling had lasted until now.
"What? So, you're just going to stare at me, huh? Marco inquired impatiently. When he spoke, she snapped back to reality.
" Hey, Madman! Didn't we make ourselves clear earlier? Why do you keep asking? Please hand over my suitcase!" She was adamant about the man.
"If you do not enter, you will not retrieve your suitcase. Please come in." Marco quickly rushed to her.
"What the hell! Does he think I'm messing around? Please hand over my suitcase!" She appeared to be about to cry because he had yet to give her the suitcase.
"That is why you must ride here. Where will you get dressed if you don't ride now? You might catch a cold later. I know someone you can rent from until you find one," he softly told her.
When she heard it, her eyes glowed momentarily. "Reeeeally? However, the bill may be costly, and I do not yet have the funds to pay it."
"Join then! We'll discuss it later. Don't you feel exhausted just thinking about it? Take your pride out of your body first," Marco says with a silly smile.
His words shook her to her core. Despite her hesitation, she got into the car. She needs to rest as well. She needed to change into dry clothes because she felt the cold had entered her body as a result of standing all day while working at the mall and looking for a house to rent.
Her vision appeared to be blurred. She no longer has the stamina to be obstinate with this man. She is becoming frail. When she got in the car, it wasn't long before she was fast asleep.
Marco felt terrible as he looked at the girl who was fast asleep. He moved slowly next to her and supported her head to protect it from the car's shaking.
Marco was surprised when his hand touched her feverish forehead. He cradled her in his arms to stop her from shivering from the cold. The car soon came to a halt in front of his mansion.
He quickly got down and straddled the girl like a newlywed. His steps rushed into the guest room, where he laid the girl down. He went outside for a while and then told Martha to change the girls' clothes. He has relied on Mother Martha as a trusted confidante for many years. She has cared for him since his biological mother abandoned them. He had brought a woman into his home and caught the older woman off guard.
Mother Martha emerged from Katleah's room in less than five minutes. Katleah had finished getting dressed in dry clothes.
"She has a high fever, son. She needs to take her medication." Mother Martha said as soon as she left the room.
"All right, Mother Martha, I'll look after her. Thank you. When she finally does wake up, make her a pot of steaming soup." Marco demanded the older lady."
Mother Martha nodded and walked away. Before entering the girl's room, Marco took medicine from the medicine cabinet. He perched himself on the side of the bed next to Katleah as she slept soundly. He rubbed her temples.
He whispered to the girl, "Katleah, take some medication first to reduce your fever."
He was about to get a glass of water when she grabbed his hand. "Don't leave me, please don't leave me." Katleah pleaded with him.
Marco watched as the girl's eyes slowly opened, and she looked at him as if pleading with him to stay by her side.
"Don't worry, Katleah; I'll be right by your side; I won't leave you," Marco said softly, looking at the girl's face. He couldn't figure out why his heart softened so quickly whenever he was in front of this woman. He could do things with her that he could never do with any other woman who liked him.
While she slept, he studied her angelic face, beginning with her narrow and long eyelashes and pointed nose and ending with her pink lips. He locked his gaze on them for a long time as if something compelled him to kiss them. And he couldn't help himself this time.
He slowly crossed his lips over the woman. He kissed her passionately, causing a strange sensation throughout his body. That simple kiss grew deeper as he felt the girl return his kiss. Their lips fused for a long time, and when he regained his composure, he returned his gaze to the girl. She is still sleeping peacefully. Perhaps the girl thought it was all a dream happening to them.
Three o'clock in the morning. Marco kissed her forehead once more before carefully exiting the room.
Katleah leaves the hospital after a few days of recovery. Axel had privately talked to her before leaving, and she discovered they were cousins on her mother's side. They kept their relationship a secret from Marco to avoid making it more difficult. Their lives are in danger, so they must be vigilant right now.Marco promptly carried her into their room upon their arrival at the Mansion. "Baby put me down.''He just kissed her while his seductive eyes stared at her."What are you trying to say with those looks?" Her words betrayed the nervousness and excitement in her heart."I need to make up for the days I didn't get enough rest, babe." His sexy response took her aback."Huh? You should get some sleep as soon as possible. ""That's why, sweetie, only you can give me strength," he said tenderly, making her hair stand on end. She panicked when she felt her back against the soft bed. "You're flirting," she told Marco, making him laugh."It's always been this way with me and you." He s
"Boss, here are your clothes, it's been five days since you didn't come home." James, who had been keeping an eye on Marco, said. He had recently arrived at the hospital and couldn't help but feel bad for his boss's current predicament. Marco looked at him, his eyes puffy from waiting for his wife to wake up. "Thank you, James. Just put it there, go back to the office, and bring all the papers I need to sign here to the hospital," Marco replied sluggishly. James stared at his boss in disbelief as he sat on the side of Katleah's bed, holding her hand. His clothes and hair are messy, and he often misses meals because he only pays attention to his wife. James left the hospital and went straight back to work. In the mall parking lot, Sandra was about to get in her car when someone grabbed her hand. She winced at the man beside her. "Raven?" she exclaimed. "What's wrong?" she demanded. "Sandra! You're playing tricks without telling me your plan?" Raven argued. "So? Raven, I'm just ge
Katleah woke up in an unfamiliar room. "Where am I?" she asked herself. She had just started to get to her feet when she found herself back on the bed. Both her hands and feet were tied, and a thick cloth covered her mouth. Tears welled up in her eyes. Will she die without even getting justice for the death of her parents? Will the same thing happen to her? "Dad, mom, help me please..." She prayed when a masked man with a gun barged in."Put on your clothes and get out of here." the man said as he removed the rope and gag from her mouth."Put it on?" As she stared at her naked body, she felt a wave of horror wash over her."You shameless people, what did you do to me? You are an animal!" she shouted as soon as the man removed the gag from her mouth."Shut up!" Simultaneously, he aimed a gun at her head and said, "If you want to live, just shut up and follow my orders!"Even so, she remained immobile, stunned as she was. The masked man still had her transfixed. She froze in fear as he
AFTER 3 YEARS,"Wait, Katleah.."She came to a halt when she heard someone calling her name. Looking back, she noticed Marie rushing as she approached her. "Could I speak with you for a moment? There's a coffee shop outside this university; let's talk properly.""Why? I don't have time; I have an exam tomorrow."Do you still need that? From the moment you stepped into this university, you've been at the top of the class. Your intellect has impressed all the professors, so why don't you take it easy for a while, Sister? When she called her sister, she was stunned for a moment. "Tell me what you need, Marie; I'm in a hurry.""Are you still waiting for my brother to pick you up? He's been seeing Sandra for a while now, if you haven't heard.""What do you mean?" she asked, frowning."Since you won't join me for coffee, here's a hint: If you want to know where you stand in my brother's life, you should head to Room No.403 at the SHANGRILA HOTEL at 9 o'clock tonight."She answered Marie wit
"Doctor, how is her condition? Why did she faint after suffering from a headache? "Harry was keen to know."She is completely fine. She needs to get some sleep and try not to overthink things right now. She blacked out because her mind couldn't take the weight of her memories from the past.""Doctor, do you think there's any chance I'll be able to recall my past?" Katleah inquired as she awoke. Earlier, she realized she was lying in a private room and had overheard the doctor's entire conversation."Katleah, it is perfectly normal to lose track of your youth recollections as you grow older. However, there are some things that people simply can't forget from their childhood, and even decades later, they may remember vivid details. Don't strain your brain by trying to remember everything, because it will only make things worse. Allow it to appear on its own at the appropriate time when you require it."Her eyes blinked in response to what the doctor said. "Thank you, doc." She responded
Katleah got dressed early and prepared to go down the stairs. She didn't sleep until morning because she was thinking about her dream. It's like she was there in that scene, but she can't explain to herself why she can't get the name Amarah out of her mind." She stroked the necklace she was wearing; why did she see her necklace in her dream? Could it be a big part of her past? She couldn't wait to talk to the man who had called. When Don Philip called her, she was just at the door to exit the Mansion. "Katleah, where are you going? Why don't you have breakfast first?" he pleases her. Katleah felt embarrassed and went to eat in the dining room. Marie pushed Katleah's plate violently onto the table and said, "I'll eat later, dad, I've lost my appetite." "Marie!, Don't be impolite. Please get back!" Even after Don Philip yelled at his daughter, she didn't seem to hear him. "I apologize for my daughter's behavior. She may be unable to accept the fact that her older brother is already
