CHAPTER 3

Raven's pov

As awareness seeps back in i found my self lying on cold concrete. My head pounded and a bitter chemical taste filled my mouth. I heard low voices some where in the distance.

I tried to move my hand only to found that there handcuffed, keeping my eyes close i wriggled slightly discovering that my legs where also bound."- should be wearing off anytime soon" says Luke's voice coming closer.

Someone kicked me and my eyes flies open. " ah your awake for a minute there i thought that idiot had over dose you guess he wasn't lying oh well" he shrugged as the two men in security guard uniforms chuckled.

The rope around my legs trails across the floor and is hidden behind them. I looked around it was a large room concrete and tile but the floor i was tied to occupies only a small part of it. Behind luke and the goons the floor seems to drop away there's an odd

smell of stagnant water.

" Luke what's going on?" I asked. " i know you where into kink but isn't this going over board" i asked wriggling testing the bonds " you know i usually save this sort of thing for at least the third round" i said and Luke smiled mischievously.

" i knew v.a.n.g.u.a.r.d would be sending someone ill admit i was worried when i found it was you had to do some quick thinking and so i came up with my current plan" he said at those words i felt my heart sinking a little. " so it was all just an act what we had?" I asked and i saw Luke look away for a moment strong emotion showing in his eyes.

" of course not" he said." you just got in the wrong place at the wrong time and i can't let my feeling get in the way of what i want, you know that issabella it's been fun really but" he gestures to the two guards.

He turns and i see what's hidden behind him a chain hanging from the ceiling with a hook dangling from the end. He picks up the looped end of the rope tying my legs and attaches it to the hook as the other man starts to turn the handle of a winch. The chain rises and though i struggle I'm dragged across the floor.

With a sickning lurch im hoisted into the air dangling upside down over the pit. There's are a large pond down there and in the water something moves actually several something's moving." Did i tell you about petrovics crocodiles greedy fucker's " he chuckled " they've eaten already but i wonder if they'll have room for desert.

Looking down into the pit i could see that the crocs where in a feeding frenzy tearing and ripping staining the water red. " ironic isn't it" Luke says looking down into the pit. " that someday the pets ends up killing the master I'm sure doctor Archimedes made a pleasant snack as well.

" you killed them both why" i asked and he shrugged " no one crosses me raven " i paid a small fortune for docter archum's work yet the bastard came here to sell it to petrovic even though i bought it already plus getting petrovic's empire is a nice bunus too". He said

" so your just gonna kill me" i asked i needed to stall to think of something through the blood rushing through my head" Luke shakes his head " what kind of sick fuck do you take me for i wouldn't kill someone i have history with but them though" he gestures at the crocodiles.

" they won't have a problem plus i know vanguard chips you all you, croak and they'll send more in to investigate so i plan on being a long way from here by the time petrovic's pets get you". He gives a little wave " have fun raven" he said as i glared at him. " I'm coming for you" i said and he smiled " i have no doubt you will but first you gonna have to get free first" he said before turning to one of the goons " make sure there's nothing left.

The door turns behind him and the goons starts to turning the winch " fuck" i cursed.

Meanwhile 

Luke's pov

I walked down the hall way and out into the night sky taking in a breath of fresh air. I ran a hand through my hair seeing raven tonight brought too many emotions that i had suppressed long ago. 

So i took of the suit i was wearing and changed into a leather jacket with a jeans before taking out a cigarette and lighting it up. " how did it go" my second in command asked as he leaned up against his bike looking at me.

" its done now lets go because in about five minutes ravens going to be out here and im not in the mood for a fight" i said taking a draw from my cigarette he nods " do you really think she'll escape" he asked.I smirked" she's the best i've trained trust me she's already on her way" i said he hops unto his motorcycle as i did the same.

" how many guards are there?" He asked. " does it really matter" i asked putting on my helmet " this is the raven where taking about to be honest i fell sorry for them" i said starting up my engine. He chuckled before doing the same as if on queue raven burst through the door breathing heavily once she saw us she began running towards us gun drawn.

I blew her a kiss and gave her a wink as i placed down the visor and rode off i could hear her firing at me but none hit me. " until next time Mia Bella". I said riding off into the night 

Raven's pov

I dangled upside down over a pit filled with crocodiles things could be better. I looked around and saw that there where only to men inside and he stood pretty close to the ledge. I started to throw my self into the swing of the rope making my self swing higher and further before the goons can react beyond " hey what are you doing?".

I lunged forward wrapping my handcuffs around the neck of the closest one. He screams and flails pulling at my hands to stop himself from choking sending us both spinning. The rope cuts painfully into my legs as the other one had his gun out pointing it uncertainty at me.

My arms and legs burn with the strain this guy was heavy and its even worse with him struggling ." pull us in or i drop him" i snarled. " HELP!" Wails the one i was holding.

" so what's it gonna be?" i asked the other hesitates before lowering his gun and rushes to get a long pole that he hooks into into my captives belt and pulls us both back towards the platform. As soon as my captives feet touches the ground i yank hard on the rope pulling it off the hook and sending him stumbling into his partner after i kicked him in his back.

I took a moment to access my situation and planned my moves then i leaped into action. I drop low hitting the nearest one in the Achilles tendon as he falls i deliver a targeted blow to the neck which leaves him wheezing and gasping for air.

The second one has a drooping eyelid on the left side souvenir of an old injury maybe i approached from his left using the blind side to my advantage he falls to my feint and doesn't sed the blow to his kidneys.

With both of them dealt with i grabbed my heels before running through the door. I found my self eventually back at the lobby after taking out six more guards i pulled out my gun as soon as i saw two men getting on a motorcycle.

I recognized Luke before running towards him gun drawn. He looks at me and blows me a kiss with a wink before he sped off i fired a couple of shots at him but they all missed and i watched him drive off into the night.

" no chance of chasing him down alone i said holstering my gun. I called a number and ignored the system suggestions to press one to..." in favour of putting in a long mesmerized code. Moments later control picks up i quickly explained the situation ending with " we need to find the bikes on traffic footage just give me a direction ".

" negative agent your being pulled off the assignment there's already police heading into the casino it will cause to many difficulties if your questioned, the information you've gathered on the dragon will be fed to law enforcement your to report to the paris branch at your earliest convenience.

" Copy control" i said" and the line goes dead. 

What a fucking end to the night
