Chapter 33

Three nights. It's been three days now and every night, I heard that groaning sound from Duncan's room.

They were light groaning the first time, but it sounded worse the second and even more last night—it was like the pain got worse with every passing night….but the question was; which pain?

The worse part was every morning that followed that night, he had one less bandage and one less cut—it was either that or I kept seeing injuries that weren't there.

The first day was his head bandage and that cut I was so sure I saw, the second day was the bandage on his knee and the third was the second cut on his face.

I would have loved to believe I never saw those bandages and injuries, but I did and now, those places magically didn't need care anymore?

Along side all of these, I couldn't get over the fact that Duncan's room was exactly the same way it was in my dreams. I thought I had gotten over the fear of those dreams until I found myself in the same place they happened.
