CHAPTER 22

She already had a copy of her next spell. She took a picture of that page. Since she didn't succeed in the first step, she can take the second step. That step was a bit difficult because she had to take a flower from the dead to make sure that the love of her life would fall head over heels in love with her.

That meant she had to go to the cemetery to get at least one flower from any grave and give it to Clyde within five days. She also had to put a spell on the flower before giving it to the man.

Even though she knew she would have a hard time, she was still not discouraged. After coming home from work, she rested for a while and then cooked to eat dinner first. Fortunately, there is a cemetery not far from where she lives. The cemetery can be seen just on the side of the road on the other corner. It was small and she thought that only relatives of the people living in that area are the only ones buried in that cemetery.

In the evening, she would carry out the plan so that no one could see her. At eight o'clock in the evening, she left the boarding house. She wore a jacket with a hood and then she even wore a baseball cap to make sure no one could recognize her. She rode a tricycle to the place and then hung out at the store near the cemetery.

She was still nervous when she saw that there was no light there. Fortunately, she was carrying a flashlight. The cemetery has no gate so she won't have any trouble entering. Eventually she also slowly approached there when she didn't see too many people. Seeing an opportunity, she slipped inside.

Even though her heartbeat was too strong, she didn't pay attention to it. She used her flashlight to look at the tombs one by one, looking for at least one flower. She was immediately encouraged when she saw a vase with flowers that seemed to be withering. Her steps were quick as she approached that tomb. She picked up one rose that still looks pretty good. She carefully tucked it inside her jacket then hurried out of there. She looked around again before going out completely to make sure no one could see her.

Arriving at her room, she was so excited that she immediately placed the rose in a small vase that she purchased earlier. She filled it with water and then took the magic book.

She recited the enchantment three times while closing her eyes and raising her hand to the vase with the flower. Smiling, she opened her eyes afterward.

She went to the office early the next day to place the vase with flowers on Clyde's desk. She put the vase without water in the bag as well as the flower as she headed to the office.

She asked the guard for the key to Clyde's office and said that  Clyde was asking for something. Fortunately, the guard didn't have many questions and gave the key to her immediately. She first went to the restroom to fill the vase with water and properly place the flower before entering Clyde's office.

There were no people in the office yet so she was free to place the flower on the man's table. She even sprayed perfume on the flower. Of course, the scent isn't mixed with garlic and onion. She threw away that cologne of her.

When she got out of his office, she thought of wandering outside first. She sees framed displays of editions of their magazines glued to the wall. Almost all of them have a cover where the del Espania family is in the picture. She would never get tired of staring at the face of the man she wanted. She walked down the long hallway while looking at the display frame one by one. She also sees various famous models in them, there are even other international models.

She was suddenly stunned at one framed picture. She was even holding her chest when she felt the pain. The picture shows Clyde on his knees carrying a box with a ring in front of Claire whose face looks shocked! She thinks that shot was actually stolen. She was unaware of the sudden tears as she stared at the picture.

She was just surprised when someone suddenly spoke next to her.

"Do they look like a perfect couple?"

She suddenly turned to the person next to her and she saw Kyle who was also staring at the picture of his brother and his fiancee who he knew was the man's ex.

She quickly removed the glasses to wipe away the tears with one hand. Then he turned his gaze to her as she was busy wiping her eyes.

"Are you crying?" worried, the man asked.

She shooked her head even without looking at him.

"Some dust just got into my eyes," she refused as she put on the big glasses again.

She heard no answer from him so she looked at Kyle again which she regretted because she saw that he was still staring at her. Eventually, she sighed and then looked at the picture again.

"My brother is a very lucky man," he seemed to be talking only to himself.

She was the one who stared at his face this time. Her eyes dimmed as she stared at him. Maybe Kyle feels twice as much pain more than what she feels. She could clearly see the sadness in the expression on his face even though she can only see his side view.

She didn't expect him to suddenly look at her so she was startled when he caught her staring at him intently. She immediately avoided his eyes then looked again at the picture on the other side. She could feel him finally facing her even though she was no longer looking at him.

"What do you think my brother has that I don't have? We look very much alike but why does he seem to have everything I want?"

It felt like Kyle will start to get emotional anytime and might cry in front of her. How can she handle that?

She even scratched her cheek before turning her face to him.

"W-what do you want that's in your brother's possession?" she asked innocently.

Of course, she didn't want him to know that she is aware that Claire was his ex.

He seemed stunned by her question and then suddenly smiled.

"Just kidding. Of course, I know I'm more handsome than my twin. More people are chasing me than him," he said with a laugh.

His phone rang and Kyle quickly looked at it then smiled when he saw the phone screen.

"See?" He told her before he answered the call.

"Lorraine! Yeah, I got your message," he replied on the other line.

The man even signaled his hand to her, telling her that he will go ahead before finally turning around to go to his office to continue flirting with "Lorraine" maybe. She might also be another model to their company.

She rolled her eyes at him as he turned away.

No wonder Claire left him!
