“It was a good thing you were there when it happened and administered first aid immediately. Otherwise, the damage could have been irreversible.” The admitting physician told me. “Still, we need to admit him for observation.”

“Do what is necessary, Doctor,” I told him, and we shook hands.

After the medical team wheeled Grandpa Jonathan’s gurney toward his suite, I wiped my forehead with the back of my hand, feeling relieved.

“Are you coming, Dr. Jewel?” Another doctor asked.
