Alexis's point of view.

"Can you untie me?" The man sitting in the chair in front of me said calmly, making me look at him awkwardly.

I knew I had made a huge mistake. I hit him with a stick, then tied him to the chair like that. But... is it safe to untie him now?

What if he really tries to hurt me? What if he attacks me as soon as I free him?

What if he gets angry and takes it all out on me after the ropes are untied?

What if he's the vengeful type?

“Alexis, dear.” Ariana’s voice was firm yet gentle. “You were wrong to attack him and tie up that child. Now what? Are you going to leave him like this forever? He came here just to help you clean the house. And how did you repay him? By hitting him. Give him some rest and check if he’s hurt.”

I fell silent. Ariana's words made sense, and after thinking it through, I knew she was right.

I took a deep breath, while Mark was still laughing on the other end of the line, I looked at the man one more time before finally releasing the restrain

Alexis's perspective.Things weren't as easy as I had imagined. I didn't know if he was getting back at me or just having fun leaving all the work to me. Whatever it was, I was really annoyed. For the last forty-five minutes, Blake hasn't given me a moment's peace."Alexis, hand out the assignment sheets.""Alexis? Hand out the assignments.""Alexis, please collect the assignments.""Alexis, hand out the assignments for this week's project.""Alexis, collect the assignments."And that's not all. I still have to finish my own work."You know what? I think Professor Blake is getting back at you for what you said to him in the hallway," Matt said, and I looked at him wearily in response.Sure enough! Who would have thought, right? Those sarcastic words weren't the only thing he wanted to get back at me for.I know he's doing all this because he knows there are humans here, and I won't insult him because, to everyone else, he's my teacher.I'll let him have his fun. I'll definitely get my

Alexis's Perspective."Hey, you're back? You have no idea how much I missed you," Audrey said as soon as I entered our classroom hallway.I was so happy to have friends who welcomed me back. With a big smile on my face, I looked at the trio before hugging Audrey, who didn't want to let go of me.As we hugged, I glanced at Shane and Matt, who were making mocking faces, causing me to shake my head.I knew exactly how they felt, but they were trying to hide it. Only boys act like that. "She was only gone for five days. You didn't show this much enthusiasm even when I came back from a month-long trip. Am I even your boyfriend?" Shane thought. "How dramatic," Matt muttered to himself."I miss you too, honey. How was your picnic? Did you have fun?" I asked her, ignoring her pouty face."It's not fun without you," Audrey said before burying her face in the crook of my neck like a child complaining to her mother. She was so short that I was sure she was standing on her tiptoes to hug me.

Sebastian's point of view"Hello, Mark? I think I know where Alexis," I said as soon as he picked up the phone."I think you and your people have caused enough damage, Alpha Sebastian. We certainly don't need your help to find her. We know she's in LA, and I'm already on my way there," Mark said, and I sighed deeply."Mark, I know what my beta did is unforgivable. It's embarrassing even for me. However, if we want to find her quickly, we have to work together. You know she's in LA, but how are you going to find her in a place that big? Neither of us wants her to get hurt, right?" I said, looking awkwardly at my beta, who gave me a stern look, while my friends Jason and Luke could barely hold back their laughter.Hearing a long sigh on the other end of the phone, I knew he was thinking about what I had said."I'll be there in a few minutes. Ready if you want to come along," Mark said, and I looked at my friends before nodding.I said, "He'll be here in a few minutes, I..." then I stopp

The Perspective of the Leader of the Wild Pack"Boss, there's bad news," said my right-hand man before bowing respectfully before me.Bad news?It had been so long since I had heard those words. They sounded almost foreign to my ears. I could already guess what might have happened. The Alpha in this region was not strong enough to defy my orders, and humans, they weren't even considered to be at the bottom of the pyramid. They were too weak to be taken into account. So, who was brave enough to bring me bad news?I raised an eyebrow, signaling for him to continue. But before that, my gaze flickered toward the girl in front of me with a look of contempt. I waved my hand, dismissing her. The girl immediately bowed her head and stepped back nervously. These women never know when to leave.I shook my head slowly, then looked back at my subordinate and motioned for him to speak. My hand turned the page of the agreement in front of me, a document I had to sign with an alpha. How foolish.I d

Alexis's Perspective"Wait, did you just say that I'm going to be tested?" I replied, feigning fear and widening my eyes.Test me? Who would dare touch me?"Haha... Don't worry, dear. It'll be quick and painless," she said, while the boy stared at us in confusion, his eyes darting between me and his girlfriend. He looked at us as if he had heard these words for the first time in his life."What are you talking about? Lanterns? Analysis? Did I miss something? How did you know about the professor's research? You’re not even part of our lab,” he asked her.It seemed like someone was in for a big surprise. I wasn’t surprised to learn that he hadn’t told her about our species.Narrowing my eyes, I looked the girl up and down. She was a lantern, a little taller than me, and clearly a traveler."We're talking about a different project here, dear. Why don't you go in and talk to the professor while I take this girl? I think we'll be good friends," she said, her eyes fixed on me with a warning

  • LOVE WITH THE WRONG ALPHA   CHAPTER 39

Sebastian's PerspectiveHe said she was tortured by her parents and her wolf friends because she was a lantern? How could anyone do that? They were her parents, and their job was to love her. And her mate stayed with her sister even after learning the truth and wanting her to be nothing more than a sex object? What kind of twisted mind would suggest such things? She is such a strong girl. Anyone in her position would have given up long ago. And I still suggested they kill her because she was a wanderer and a lantern who rejected her partner, which is why I am ashamed of myself. Is that why she doesn’t want to tell me the whole truth? Because she’s ashamed of her past, just like me? Or because of what Eric said? Because she thinks explaining herself to me is like talking to a deaf person.“She wants to tell you. You’re the one not listening, remember?” My wolf reminded me.I'm worse than them. Mark is right. I know nothing, and even without knowing anything, I've hurt her. She trusted
