OMNISCIENT POV

3 YEARS LATER.

"So we are interviewing a prominent business man he is launching a hotel soon, so Christiana and Amanda will be interviewing him. Christiana for the magazine while Amanda for the radio tomorrow." Their boss, Ms Funke, assigned.

Christiana was happy because over the years after she had completed both her masters and NYSC training, through her family's contacts, they landed her the job.

A lot of people just thought of her as a spoilt brat who had zero talent and caused other people who actually deserved it to not get it.

"Yes ma. "Christiana and Amanda said in unison.

The two had gotten really close over their one year and three months in the company.

They both got the job through connection so they had to work really hard to prove themselves and yet their co-workers still treated them like shit.

"So, I heard the man is handsome you know Yoruba Demon and in his late 20's." Amanda informed her happily as they both exited Ms Funke's office.

"How did you even hear?" Christiana inquired.

"I have my ways, let me leave you to ready for your interview. Meet me for lunch before you leave?" Amanda smiled.

"I can't, the meeting is over lunch. "She told her making Amanda pout.

" Alright then, give me all the gist when you get back. "

Christiana was going to meet at a restaurant which was about 30 minutes away. Since the meeting wasn't for another 4 hours, she sat back on her table finishing her write up of an interview she had recently with an actress.

*****

"Yes, he postponed it to 4pm saying something happened." Christiana told Amanda as they arrived at the Pixie Express right in front of Chicken Republic. Tiana ordered Doughnuts and Drink and Amanda got the same.

"Okay at least I am not going to eat it alone, have you prepared your questions?" Amanda asked taking a bite of her doughnut.

"Yeah everything is in order." Tiana told her and Amanda nodded her head smiling at her.

They talked about the interview and work related stuff until it was time to return back to work.

"Later." Amanda blew a kiss as they went their seperate ways.

*****

Tiana arrived at 3:50,she didn't know the restaurant was this classy so she felt underdressed. She wore a black tight fitted skirt which brought out her curves and a white shirt. Then again she didn't care, she was working and to her you are only meant to be here in the evening. But around 4pm....I don't think so.

When she said her name and the company she works for, she was taken to the second floor where she saw an office.

"Mr Adesanya is running a bit late but he will be here soon. So please take your seat ma." The hostess smiled politely at her.

She took a seat and thanked the young woman.

She brought out her phone were she would record the conversation and her note pad and pen. She was ready and comfortable.

"I apologize for being late." She heard a man say as soon as the door burst open. She turned around stunned at how handsome he looked in his black suit.

He is so handsome!! But....Why does he looks familiar? She thought to herself.

"No problem sir, I guess I am little bit early." She chuckled a little hiding away the giddy feeling she had.

"I am Christiana Peterson."She introduced herself stretching out her hand.

He looked at intently trying to remember where he had Known her from. As soon as she spoke and said her name, he remembered her from the club years ago.

He chuckled then shook her hand. " Adesanya James nice to meet you."

She smiled politely, they both sat down, "So let me get right into it."

He studied her wondered why she hadn't said anything about them knowing each other.

Does she remember me? He thought.

"Okay so firstly we would like to know a little on your background? Like how was the place you grew up?" She asked looking from her notepad to him. He cleared his throat.

"I grew up with 2 loving parents and four sisters. My dad was a teacher and my mum sold food so we never really had much. We lived in two bed room apartment definitely not in the classy places in ibadan. My sisters always had fights and all of that because they weren't comfortable and stuff. But overall we had and have a good relationship. "He expressed not Knowing if he said too much or went out of point but she gave him a reassuring smile.

"What would you say has motivated you the most? I mean you have 2 very successful restaurants and now the launch of new hotel before 30.. That's something in this country. " He pursed his lips gathering his words.

"I would say it's the struggle and my family. Being the only son I felt I had to be able to provide my family and give them a comfortable life especially after the death of my father. They were times when we couldn't pay our school fees and we were embarrassed or times we didn't have anything to eat. So it was one of those things that inspired me to want to get everything good so my children wouldn't have to go through all of that."He smiled.

She was impressed on how open he was being and she understood everything. She was glad that in a country like Nigeria, a young man could be able to achieve all of this.

"Wow, I don't know you and all but I just want to say I am proud of you for achieving all of this and I am sorry about your father. I am sure he's proud of you." She felt she just had to say that.

He felt warm hearing her say that,"Thank you. "

"So what's the name of the hotel and what should we expect from the hotel?" She asked looking at her note.

"Familia hotel and definitely luxury. From the rooms, to the condos, the penthouses. The halls, the food, pools, everything is going to be top notch. "

"We can't wait!Familia for family?"

"Yes, It's dedicated to my family and I want families to go there and feel it's warmth."He said and she nodded.

After a few more questions they wrapped it up.

"Thank you for taking the time for this interview." She thanked packing her things into her bag.

"Thank you for having me." He answered. She nodded, as she was about to leave he said,

"So you going to act like you don't recognize me?" He looked more different now. He had full beards and was more muscular, even grew taller. He was that man.

"Umm.." she squinted her eyes at him then he laughed.

As he laughed, just like a cold bucket water was thrown on her. The memories hit her.

"Shit." She mumbled but he heard and walked towards her.

"Hello Tianaaa." He dragged her name like last time then licked his lips standing right in front of her.

She just hoped he couldn't hear how loud and fast her heart was beating.

He couldn't even forget her after about 3 years, since he saw at the club that night there was something about her that attracted him to her.

She was even more beautiful now, her brown skin was glistening, she had grown thicker and looked more mature maybe a little taller.

23 was looking good on her.

"Good evening ma." Tiana knelt down greeting her very aged grandmother who sat with her uncles and aunts from her dad's side."How are you? We heard what happened to you." Aunty Ajoke asked her softly and Tiana smiled a little. The news about their kidnapping was all over social media. They weren't able to get the full information about what happened so they left vague descriptions on what happened on the news and on blogs. Even people at work were attempting to ask her about it, but fell back."Good afternoon grandma." Jasmine said interrupting any further interrogations about the whole matter.Everyone had been trying to talk to Tiana about it but she had barely spoken to anybody including James. This was like how she was after her parents died, maybe because of how scared she was when she saw the bullet graze James'arm. The only time she talked was to make sure everybody was fine. James,Tamara, Deji and Mustapha were who she was worried about when she heard gun shots. One hit James
