When he was in the Smith villa talking with Vanessa, Jason had received a text from Jamal White, informing him about Grayson Leung, the former artifact broker who might know where the Obsidian Dagger was hidden or have information that might be helpful in knowing the location it was.

According to Jamal White, Grayson lived somewhere in the city. He had sent Jason the location to pay him a visit.

After receiving the location, Jason decided to visit the place immediately. It was located in the middle of the city, and Jason had to take a taxi to get there.

Arriving at the building in the late afternoon, Jason walked inside the apartment complex. He took the elevator to the last floor, where Leung's apartment was located.

When he came to the apartment number, he rang the doorbell once, then waited for a few seconds. There was no answer. He rang again, but there was still no answer.

Jason sighed, then leaned closer to the door to see if someone was inside the apartment or not. He heard a

The way Bryce tried to humiliate Jason in front of everyone grated on her nerves more than she cared to admit — and it showed her exactly what kind of man he really was.“So that’s it, huh? You’re throwing our whole friendship away over him? Wow… just wow.” Bryce didn't hide how offended he was. Well, of course he would be offended. After all, Vanessa had just exposed his lie and chosen Jason over him. And it was so humiliating, now everyone was glaring at him disdainfully. “I'll get out of your face Vanessa, but you will regret ending our friendship one day. I….”“Please,” Jason interjected, his voice low and firm, cutting off Bryce's pathetic threat. He stepped slightly in front of Vanessa, his gaze fixed on Bryce. “Just respect my fiancée’s wishes. Or else, I might have to take things into my own hands.”Bryce glared at Jason, his eyes burning with a mix of impotent fury and fresh humiliation. But the dangerous glint in Jason’s eyes, coupled with the weight of the surrounding star

It was no secret at this point that Bryce was very much interested in Vanessa, and it had annoyed him to see that she was engaged to someone. However, now that he understood what was going on, he didn't hesitate to call Jason out for taking the girl of his dreams. Yet again, the lively crowd was drawn to Bryce's loud voice. And hearing what he just said about Vanessa Smith's engagement to Jason, some could not restrain themselves from commenting.“He has her trapped in a contract? What kind of loser does that?” a woman in a sleek green dress whispered behind her glass of wine, her voice laced with incredulity and amusement.“The kind that knows he can’t keep a woman like Vanessa Smith,” another replied with a dry chuckle. “He’s insecure. Has to legally bind her just so she doesn’t leave. Pathetic.”A man with slicked-back hair added. “Bryce was right to get in his face. If that was my friend being strong-armed into an arranged engagement like that? Please. I’d have done much worse th

At this point, Caspian had already given up trying to kill Jason. Blaine was the best of the best he could find, and if even him couldn't handle Jason, then he didn't know what the hell this Jason Wolfe was.In truth it was now almost impossible to kill Jason like he wanted. And that scared Caspian, but not enough to make him want to back off. After some thinking, he figured that he could just get his revenge by hurting the ones close to Jason.Hearing Caspian's shameless words, Jason finally showed his anger for the first time.Jason rarely showed emotions, however this time he showed it. “Dare to touch them,” his voice was a low, dangerous rumble, “and I will end you.”A shiver ran down caspians spine after he heard those words from Jason. He was smart enough to realize that he was not dealing with some average Joe. Caspian gritted his teeth, his grip tightening. Across the crowded room, at a bar, Jason raised his head. Their eyes met, a silent promise of destruction passing betwe

Blaine's hand was as quick as a viper as he went for Jason's throat with his fist, while a hidden blade flickered from his sleeve, aimed for the heart. Jason moved, not with panic, but with a fearless and fluid elegance that seemed to anticipate every move. He effortlessly moved from Blaine’s grasp, the blade missing his chest by… not even closeA heavy thud echoed in the quiet corridor as Jason's elbow connected sharply with Blaine's jaw. The assassin staggered, momentarily disoriented, but recovered just in time. His eyes now blazed with a professional, dangerous focus. This wasn't going to be easy, he could tell.“Fuck! You're skilled! It looks like I've underestimated you.” Blaine remarked, a cold grin spreading across his lips.“But you still have to die!” He declared, and then he launched a series of calculated strikes, a flurry of fists and kicks designed to incapacitate. But Jason was holding back. He parried, blocked, and dodged, his movements effortless and precise. He d

“What's your mission here, really? Did your organization send you to foil the Eclipse Syndicate’s plans?”Her expression didn’t change, but the air in the room tightened.“You’re mistaken,” he said, stepping back. “My mission is to stabilize Velmora’s underworld. The Clan has no interest in whatever the Eclipse Syndicate is chasing. We still have a truce. Remember?”Elara’s smile thinned. “Yes, we do. And yet... your organization went behind the Eclipse Syndicate’s back. You bought that map fragment from Grayson Leung.”Jason’s gaze sharpened. “And let me guess. You had him killed before I could get answers. Clean up your messes, keep the Eclipse in the dark. That’s how you operate, isn’t it?”The temperature in the room felt like it dropped. Elara’s smile vanished completely. Why would she keep pretending when she had been discovered? No more teasing. No more flirting. Just a long, loaded silence.“Well,” Jason said quietly, stepping forward. “If you have what I need... I might have

The high-polished marble hallway echoed with the rhythmic tap of two sets of boot heels. Elara, known in the underworld as Elayne Duskmoor, led the way with her usual practiced elegance. Two of her personal guards flanked Jason. To Vanessa and her family, Jason was nothing more than a nobody, an insignificant waste of space, with no pedigree. But the underworld knew him differently. He was known to most in the underworld as Lucan Vale, the Ghost among shadows and the Eclipse Syndicate’s deadliest weapon.Tonight, however, he was just Jason Wolfe, here to confront the infamous strategist and spy of the Crimson Court, Elara Von Halen. The Crimson court was a rival organisation to the eclipse syndicate, both operating deep in the underworld. The office door opened, and Elara walked straight to her desk. Instead of sitting behind it, she hopped onto the edge, crossing one leg over the other. She looked relaxed, but her eyes shows a lot of emotion to Jason. He knew her well.Jason coul
