ANOTHER TRAP

RONA'S POV

I screamed in fear and began to run as fast as my legs could carry me.

The huge dragon bared its teeth at me, lazily and leisurely coming after me as if it was sure there was no escape route for me.

Its slow steps as it slowly gained ground on me made me feel threatened and regretful.

It lazily followed me around while I ran with all my might, as if it was enjoying my meaningless struggle.

Damn dragons!

Damn Richard for keeping such a dangerous thing below the palace grounds!

Damn me for being too desperate to dig out dirt and secrets, in my bid to pull Richard down!

Tears ran down my cheeks as I ran desperately, calling on the goddess to save me from the dragon who seems to be grinning at me.

It was enjoying my fear.

I have a feeling that my desperate attempt at running was turning the monster on and making it giddy.

If it thinks I'm an easy lunch, it should rethink.

I ran into a nearby cave, hoping the mouth would be too big for the enormous dragon.
