SELENE

I hurriedly ran downstairs, my heart pounding in my chest. What could be so urgent that they needed me down there immediately? I couldn't shake the feeling of dread as we followed the guard, knowing that something was very wrong.

When I reached the bottom of the stairs, I saw Maya and a devilishly handsome man I assumed to be Viktor standing there, a smug look on her face. Orion was beside himself, his anger palpable as he shouted at Maya to stop the shit. But she just started laughing, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

"What the hell is going on?" I demanded, my voice shaking with a mixture of fear and anger. "What's happening?"
