UNA sat comfortably at the back of Hevian’s massive wolf from. Together, they navigated the thick forest at the foot of Banxi Mountains.

Hevian was not in a rush this time, he was making sure Una would enjoy the ride. Especially when they passed through Vissantre, a long stretch of enchanted forest filled with colorful fireflies illuminating the trail.

“I’ve never seen this place when we went to your cabin.” Una tried to catch a few fireflies and it danced on her hands.

UNA was brought back to the cabin under Hevian’s guidance. He specifically asked Jace and Ashina to look after her because he’d be away to settle things with the Hebris Pack.Fortunately, Una woke after three days of being unconscious. With the help of Princess Ethyla’s gift, there were no visible scars in her body. But the pain still lingered in her memory.Snow quietly fell outside the mountain cabin. The world beyond the forest remained dangerous for the likes of Una, but inside, the warmth was comforting. It could be because of the barrier created not long ago.Una sat near the window wrapped in thick blankets while watching the snowfall outside. Her body still ached whenever she moved too much, yet compared to before, her condition had improved greatly. The healing medallion resting around her neck pulsed faintly beneath her clothes.“No words can describe my gratitude for you, Princess Ethyla…” Una muttered. The cabin door suddenly opened.“You’re awake already?”Una turned to

JACE had brought Una to his private safe house. And with Una’s fading life, the place had never felt this suffocating before.Blood stained the wooden floor beneath the bed where Una lay unmoving, her breathing so faint it terrified everyone in the room. The curtains were drawn shut, but even the darkness could not hide how pale she had become.Ashina pressed another cloth against Una’s wound with trembling hands. “Everything is my fault.”“Stop blaming yourself, Ashina. It’s all Eshnu’s fault,” Rieka said.“She’s getting colder, I had no idea being a wolfless doesn't have a regerative ability,” Ashina whispered.“Don’t say that.” Jace paced violently across the room. “She’s still breathing. Even if she have that ability, her injuries are nearly fatal. The Hebris Pack will pay for this.”“But... she's barely alive.” Ashina’s eyes welled up. She had never been this emotional. But she felt that a moment of carelessness had brought them to this.Jace cursed under his breath. “The healer

THE halls of Wolfsthorn Castle echoed with the sounds of distant storms. Massive pillars carved from black stone towered over the chamber while blue flames burned inside iron braziers. At the center of the grand hall sat Alpha Rewin of the Iltis Pack, his sharp purple eyes fixed on the man standing before him.Hevian remained motionless. Cold and unreadable.“The northern borders are collapsing,” Rewin said grimly. “Eshnu has begun moving Omega Units into neutral territories trying to expand. He’s preparing for civil war. Do you think the Palace of Nights and Stars will interfere?”Hevian’s jaw tightened. “No. They won’t, it’s our own affairs. That’s why we have to strike first as a precautionary measures if the Hebris Pack refused to abide by my father’s order.”Rewin’s face contorted. “You speak as if war is nothing.”“It isn’t.” Hevian’s golden eyes darkened. “But hesitation kills faster. If the Hebris Pack left unchecked, we both know the chaos it'll create.”Several Iltis warrior

HEVIAN had been gone for nearly a day, and the loneliness gnawed at her chest. She already met a female shifter from Hevian royal Cadre, Ashina. Hevian made sure Una had a trusted guard beside her before he left. They were told to wait for Jace and the others.“Are you sure we’d be safe here?” Una asked her female guard.Ashina nodded. “Of course. Rieka and Jace are on their way to meet us. Don’t worry, you’ll soon meet every member of the prince’s royal cadre.”Una kept looking at Ashina. She couldn’t help but feel a little envy because her beautiful face might look delicate, but her pulsating aura was extraordinary.“Let me make you a cup of tea,” Ashina quickly moved before Una could say a word.“Thank you, Ashina.” Una sat near the table, she clutched the warm porcelain cup between her hands after Ashina handed it to her. The scent of jasmine tea filled the cramped room while the firewood crackled nearby.“I wish I could be strong as you,” Una muttered.Ashina giggled. “I’m nothin

THE rain had stopped just before dawn, leaving Dilim City drowned in silver reflections and smoke-colored fog. Although the Nacht Territory had always been dark, every sunset, a faint light could be seen at the horizon.Hevian again witnessed the chaotic charm of the Midnight District as if it breathed with dangerous life. The magic of the Moon Festival was suddenly gone. Instantly, as if it never happened. He'd long been used to it.Inside the council chamber on the Midnight Fortress, Hevian adjusted the black clasp of his cloak while Fang stood before the enormous window overlooking the city. Traxan, Fang's Beta, immediately excused himself as he saw him approaching his father.“Father, may I know the reason you called for me this early?” Hevian asked. His mind was completely worried for Una. He needed to send her back to the cabin to ease his worries. Otherwise, Eshnu would surely bring her trouble, or even worse.“You will represent the Sabre Pack,” Fang said firmly. “The council

ON THE darkest part of Dilim City, bordering the Midnight and Crescent District, the crooked alleys pulsed with noise, vendors shouting over black-market relics, immortals haggling beside glowing potion stalls, and drunken Gwiazdan shifters stumbling from taverns thick with smoke. The place was the filthiest corner of Nacht Territory, a place nobles pretended not to know existed. It was the so-called Wild Niche.Eshnu loved every second of chaos around him. He immediately went into the Wild Niche after the confrontation with Hevian to meet a certain individual. He leaned against a stone pillar outside a gambling den, lazily twirling a dagger between his fingers while two of his men stood guard nearby.“So it’s true?” One of them asked. “Prince Hevian is protecting that girl?”Eshnu smirked. “Not protecting,” he corrected. “Obsessing. But something is not right. Did we walk right into his trap?”The guard frowned. “I don’t think so, the prince is naive and simple minded. Wait, didn’t w
