Chapter 9

last update Last Updated: 2026-01-27 16:25:53

It was Monday, and Li Han woke up as early as he usually did because he lived a little bit far from the school and he usually walked to school. While Li Han was showering, the twins finally woke up and also went to the other rooms to shower. So when Li Han came out wearing his underwear and tank top, he was surprised that the twins had finally left him alone. He found his uniform sitting on the bed, neatly washed and ironed. He quickly put it on and went downstairs with his duffel bag stuffed into his school bag, waiting for the twins.

Once they came down dressed they kissed his cheeks which he wiped with the back of his hand making the twins kiss him again until he realized it was pointless and stopped. The car ride was quiet as the twins slept on Li Han's neck which of course he tried pushing them away but there was no luck with the explanation of them being alpha's.

Once Li Han got to school, he bowed and thanked the driver and the twins before departing to his class.

Li Han sat in his class reading his book when he was approached "Hey Li, Han the teacher is calling you"

Li Han was surprised that the teacher was calling him because it was so rare that if the teacher ever called you, it meant that you were in trouble but nonetheless Li Han still went to the teachers office.

"Good morning teacher" Li Han bowed to show his respect which the teacher nodded to "It's good to see a healthy and smart student keep up the good work"

The teacher dismissed him, Li Han was confused on why the teacher had called him to only tell him that, as he was heading towards the door, he was suddenly stopped by the teacher's words

"Ah" She pretended like she had just remembered something "Student Li Han, I saw you getting out of the Ji twins car this morning. Are you somehow related to them?"

"No" Li Han said but it seemed like the teacher was waiting for more information but he wasn't telling her anything other than that because she was being nosy cockroach. Understanding that the beta would not further explain, she said

“Li Han, I know you are a smart student, but I don’t think it is advisable to hang out with the Ji’s. They are a very powerful family, and I don’t want you to get hurt.”

Li Han nodded politely, then gave a perfect bow before turning and heading back to his classroom. He understood the teacher’s intention loud and clear—the concern was genuine, even kind. But it wasn’t as if he had sought out the twins or forced his way into their lives. If anything, it was the complete opposite. They were the ones clinging to him, following him everywhere, refusing to give him even a moment’s peace. He was just trying to survive the attention.

Once Li Han returned to class, he slipped quietly into his seat and opened his book again, ready to lose himself in the familiar comfort of studying. But barely a minute passed before he felt the air shift.

A small crowd had gathered around his desk. He looked up slowly and recognized them immediately: the most dedicated members of the unofficial Yo Sun and Yo Han fan club. Girls who spent their free time whispering about the twins, trading photos, and guarding their idols like precious treasures.

Li Han sighed inwardly. He knew exactly what kind of drama this was going to be.

“Listen here, Li Han,” the leader of the group started, arms crossed and voice sharp. “Stop forcing yourself on Yo Han and Yo Sun. You’re just some low-life male beta. They can never be yours.”

Li Han actually agreed with them one hundred percent. He had never wanted to “claim” the twins, never dreamed of being anything more than left alone with his books.

Still, a small, rebellious part of his mind couldn’t help but think: Does that mean they can share themselves with all of you, then? The thought was petty and satisfying for half a second, but he knew better than to say it out loud. Voicing it would only make it sound like he was jealous, like he was fighting over the twins the way these girls clearly wanted to. So he swallowed the sarcasm, let out another quiet sigh, and turned his eyes back to the page in front of him, pretending the entire group didn’t exist.

One of the fangirls scoffed “Aiya, he’s not even paying attention to what we are saying, are we that small, you can't even give us attention.”

Li Han felt his head being violently pushed, accompanied by the sharp comment, “He’s not even handsome.” The sudden shove made him abruptly stand up, which startled the girls into stepping back in surprise. He turned and gave them a cold, piercing glare that finally made them retreat, muttering under their breath as they hurried away.

Li Han could have easily fought back verbally—or even physically if he’d wanted to—but he wasn't raised with fists at all and his parents had drilled it into him to never raise his fists to anyone, unless it was absolutely necessary and only in self-defence. So he simply picked up his book, tucked it under his arm, and walked out of the classroom toward the library, where he could finally find some peace and quiet.

Until—

“Shūdāizi, you’re finally alone.”

Li Han was stunned to see Liu Yifei standing there, but he didn’t let it show on his face. Deep down, though, he kind of missed her—the way she always barged into his quiet world without warning, the teasing that somehow never felt truly mean. She had been strangely absent lately, and the silence had felt… off.

“I’m sorry for not coming to you earlier, but I was really busy,” she said, slinging her arm casually around his shoulder like she belonged there. “I even thought you would come looking for me, but you’re still as cold as ever.” She grinned, clearly unbothered by his lack of reaction.

“I know you missed me, even if it was just a little bit. So here—I got you some candy.”

Liu Yifei placed the small pack of sweets on the table in front of him. She knew Li Han had a notorious sweet tooth; it was one of the few things that could reliably crack his stoic exterior. So it surprised her when he didn’t immediately reach for it. Deciding to tease him a bit, she reached out slowly and said in a playful voice,

“Since Li Han doesn’t want to take my candy, I’ll just take it back then.”

She inched her fingers toward the pack, drawing out the motion dramatically. But before she could grab it, Li Han’s hand shot out lightning-fast, snatching the candy and stuffing it into his pocket in one swift movement.

Liu Yifei burst out laughing—loud, unrestrained, the kind of laugh that made her double over and clutch her stomach. She laughed so hard she felt like her sides would split open, tears gathering at the corners of her eyes.Li Han didn’t say anything. He just looked away, cheeks faintly pink, and pretended to focus on his book again. But the corner of his mouth twitched, just the tiniest bit.

Li Han was not good at showing emotions or getting too angry or sad but it brought happy emotions to his heart knowing that Liu Yifei had cured the unsettledness in his chest. After class ended, Li Han headed toward the toilet, needing a moment of quiet. But before he could reach the main hallway, several tall figures suddenly appeared, crowding him backward into a dim, forgotten corner of the corridor—one of those spots no one ever bothered to look at. Confusion hit him harder than fear. He blinked up at them, registering the overwhelming wave of alpha pheromones crashing over him like thick, suffocating perfume. Even though betas didn’t have a particularly strong sense of smell for pheromones, the intensity of these scents was impossible to ignore—almost like walking straight into a field of overpowering flowers. He didn’t recognize any of them, but one stepped forward, voice low and accusing. “So you’re the Li Han who’s been bullying our girls.” The words clicked into pl

Like Yo Han said, Yo Sun and Yo Han came to pick him up within five minutes. Li Han realized they were in their sleepwear and felt guilty, but the car ride to the house was silent. Amazed was what Li Han felt when he looked at their large mansion, but he refused to show it and quietly followed the twins. They begged to carry his bag, but Li Han refused. Once they got into the house, Li Han expected to be met with their parents, which he had worried about throughout the whole car ride, but they weren’t there. “Where are your parents?” “Our parents travelled to Shanghai for a business trip,” Yo Han said. “Fu Fu, come. Let’s take you to where you will sleep,” the other twin said. Li Han followed them to a bedroom that looked like someone occupied it, but Li Han did not complain and went to take a shower. When Li Han came out from the bathroom, he was dressed in his mismatched blue plaid trousers and red plaid shirt, which made him feel slightly embarrassed. “Our Fu Fu looks s

The twins were very happy when they saw Li Han. Their one-time wish had finally come true, and they were beyond ecstatic. When he left, they were angry, of course, and they were desperate to find him. But once they went to middle school, they knew it was almost impossible to meet him again. Still, they never gave up or forgot about him. The twins had turned down the opportunity to attend a good private secondary school abroad and instead went to the school that almost everyone attended. They were on their way to get their ties back from an omega who had been dared to take them, but she was nowhere to be seen. They would soon be caught for inappropriate dressing and marked as tardy, so they went to the south wing—which was not the usual place they went to. But by a miracle, they bumped into their precious Fu Fu. Although it took a while to recognize him, they finally did. And now they had no plans of ever letting him go. Two weeks had passed and the twins refused to leave Li Han alon

"Liu Yifei please stop eating my sweet dumplings you finished yours which was even more than mine long ago" Li Han begged as Liu Yifei took another dumpling off his tray "Shūdāizi let the great little Liu Yifei eat your sweet dumplings she's very hungry wu wu" Liu Yifei said cutely but Li Han glared at her. It was currently lunch break and they sat together even though Li Han did not want to sit with her but she always threatened to tell on him to his parents that he was not treating her well which was now a bargaining chip for anything she wanted. "I'm going to the bathroom and do not even think of taking any more of my tray" He said and stood up but he did not trust her vicious smile so he stuffed two dumplings in his mouth before walking off. On his way to the bathroom he bumped into someone and almost fell on his butt, but luckily the person grabbed his shoulders to steady him "Be careful" His deep voice said gently, feeling discomforted by the unfamiliar hand on his shoulder h

  • Leave Me Alone Alphas   Chapter 5

Years had passed, yet Liu Yifei still chased Li Han relentlessly, no matter how many times he begged her to stop. Strangely, his pleas only seemed to amuse her more. Each time he tried to push her away, she would just tilt her head, eyes sparkling with mischief, and keep right on teasing him. His discomfort was, to her, the best kind of entertainment. Over the years Li Han had come to understand why she acted this way. Despite being stunningly beautiful, Liu Yifei didn’t really have many friends. Most girls at school seemed to dislike her almost on principle—too pretty, too confident, too unbothered by their glares and whispers. The jealousy was obvious, but she never appeared to care. Whenever someone asked why she spent so much time hanging around the quiet beta boy who always had his nose buried in a book, she would simply shrug and say, “Because he’s Li Han,” as though that answered everything. And in her world, apparently, it did. She had even gone so far as to introduce him to
