I completely forgot to add the explanations for Moxie’s cajun slang and I am sooo done trying to edit chapters, please believe me when I say technology and I are not friends but we are figuring it out (hahaha)

The featherlight touch of fur on her cheek had Mj forcing her eyelids open and as her vision cleared, a large red werewolf stood before her. Mj gasped and struggled to skirt away, but found herself stuck deep in fine yellow dirt. Mj opened her mouth to scream for help, but no sound came out, indeed though she could feel the force of her own voice strain hard against her chest. The colossal, regal looking creature cocked its head and the almost haunting gold eyes bore straight into Mj and the woman still struggling in the almost unearthly yellow sand sucked in a breath as the realization of who was standing before her caused her entire body to freeze in shock. Mj’s muffled whimpers and grunts woke Moxie almost instantly, and he began to shake Jay, “ wake our little sister mon amour… the shadows are creeping in her mind,” Jay rubbed his eyes and shook his head before the sound of his sisters muffled cries forced his eyes open wide. Jay leaned forward and started to shake her gently, “ Em, Mj, Mj… wake up little sister,” he whispered, trying not to wake Ed, who had pulled over at some point to sleep on the wheel instead of behind it. As the day matured, it was filled with nothing but open roads and the mindless thrumming of an engine. The song that bothers Mj to the point of abusing the poor SUV is "Every Rose Has Its Thorn"- by Poison. It is an amazing rock ballad from the 80's and always brings me to tears. She-Ra is another 80's throwback, she was a cartoon character I looked up to as a little girl. Fun fact about me: My husband has a habit of singng the theme song when we bring in groceries from the car, I am a one trip shopper lol Another side note, thank you ALL for your outpouring of support while I work through my mental health. Moxie grinned as Mj leaned her head over on his shoulder and drifted off the sleep within an hour of being back on the road. The rough around the edges, wolf leaned back against his seat and gently guided Mj’s head to his lap, so she could stretch out on the bench. After Mj smiled up at him appreciatively, she lifted her feet up on the seat and snuggled into a comfortable position before going back to sleep.
