She was a bit green to all her surroundings a migrant that carried the world on her shoulders. Constant abuse at home with the only escape being the gas station where she worked. She’d just graduated college and moved in with her boyfriend of four years. They lived with his parents and two siblings. She didn’t have license to get around so she had to walk or ask them for a ride to work. She had no freedom and would often find herself being put down for not being able to drive and the little money she earned going to gas or groceries. Work was an escape from her home life, but that also came with its own set of evil. Her boss was a pervert and her coworkers were a bunch of lazy party goers and let’s just save the customers and their entitlement for later.

Capri was a hard worker that was timid and did not speak up for herself which in turn caused everyone to walk all over her. Her grandmother filed for her and her mother along with her sisters to move to Lake. Everything she was comfortable with, no shoes running around, climbing trees and living off the red dirt, food rich land vanished In no time. There were no expectations considering there was nothing that could hurt her that she had already been through so much shit at a tender age. There were multiple nights without a meal, no breakfast and lunch would typically be fruits that weren’t ripe.

Capri was treated less than to almost everyone including her mother that would spend all her money on a dark lager and cigarettes from whatever wasn’t already handed to her sisters father. Her father came from money, but like most statists he was absent and did everything but takes care of his responsibilities. The bars and the women were more important.

Capri moved in with her high school sweetheart without hesitation and with the blessing of his parents and sisters. Taurus was great at making sure she was taken care of and protected her from most of what she was afraid of. They were joined at the hip and to be quiet honest he was the only person she knew that had her back one-hundred percent. He made her feel safe. That all changed after her father ended up passing away and Capri ended up taking things harder than expected and decided to go back to her birth place to feel connected to her roots and be around her grandparents. Most days Capri was lost at what to do next as she was unfamiliar with her now surroundings after being gone for over ten years. Her grandparents like her father were not present especially her grandmother. She was mean and cold to everyone. Capri and Taurus would make phone calls daily to keep in touch. However things felt different, distant even. There was this very unsettling felling as if he was now attached to someone else. The only thing that came to mind was that he’d gotten someone pregnant. She could not help but ask which was denied. After returning home due to a tragic accident that killed her first cousin the conversation was brought up again when she could not shake the feeling of something still not being like they were before. This time he finally admitted it, he was seeing someone else the entire summer she was away and she was in-fact pregnant.

Capri was now pushed to the side by Taurus’s family, they started sneaking around to see this other woman and did not include them in any of it. Before it was even time to give birth Taurus was being summoned to court on accusations he was gang affiliated and not fit to be a part of the baby’s life. If that was all, it wouldn’t be as bad. Capri was the target of their case unknowingly. They wanted Taurus to be with her knowing that he was not giving his relationship up that he had with Capri. For months they went to court and for Capri it was very hard. There were revelations that was not disclosed by her partner or his family, but you better believe the other woman aired all the dirty details of the affair.

The baby was now a living breathing being and everything once again changed. The other woman’s family was calling and making demands of what the child needed with the court’s involvement after all the hell they dragged Capri and Taurus through in the beginning. Taurus was the only one invited to visit and it could only be at night after he left work which made Capri very uncomfortable. Taurus decide to have Capri wait in the car across the street as if she was the one keeping him and the other woman apart. This moved created chaos that night after he was attacked by Bs sister and ended up getting arrested. After this was settled and the charges were dropped a letter came in the mail as a notice for child support as B filed for food assistance. The only thing that was signed on the documents was requesting a paternity test due to the circumstances and not seeing the child after two years. A few weeks passed and the results were In. B could not face Taurus to tell him the child wasn’t his, however her mother decided to tell him.

Things appeared to be getting better, but Taurus however could not keep his d*** in his pants. He was now sleeping with the Girl he worked with. On occasion he would take her to the apartment he stayed with Capri. There were customers at Capris place of employment that admired her that would give her information on Taurus ware about. Humiliated and confused she confronted him, but was met with comfort wrapped in lies. He denied everything. He lied about everything and made her feel delusional.
