Charity said in amusement, “Forget it. Even if you had invited me, I wouldn’t come along.”

“Why? Are you afraid of seeing Chester?”

“No.” Charity sighed gloomily. “You guys are all couples and have families. What’s the point of me coming along? To be a third wheel or watch you show off your love for each other?”
