Scarlett could barely hold herself for Hope to rub in the ointment and bandage her ankle before she jumped out of the bed and hobbled out of the room.

"Scarlett! Wait!" Dylan called after her, but it was too late. She was gone.

He turned back to Hope and ran a hand through his hair. "Is there anything else she needs for the pain?"

"No, nothing." Hope shook her head. "She just needs to keep the foot elevated for a few weeks. She'll be fine."

Nodding at her words, Dylan turned and hurried out.
