Chapter 16: Light

"Why is it that instead of me being nervous, you're the one who seems restless?" I asked because his hands seemed to be tapping non stop earlier. More like trembling because even earlier when we were still in the car, he was holding the steering wheel tightly and tapping it. Now that we are here in front of his parents' house, he is obviously nervous because he doesn't seem to want to enter yet.

"Should we go back instead? Ah ..." he said and was about to walk back to the car when I pulled his arm.

"Silly. We're already here, and you're with me. I'll take care of it.” I rolled my eyes. “Why? Are you ashamed to be with me? I'm wearing ugly clothes now?" I asked and he shook his head.

"You're beautiful everyday. I'm just scared to show myself to them and maybe what else they'll tell you." he said gently to me. Instead of focusing on the last things he said, the first thing he really said stuck in my mind.
