It's the way Ryker is trying to convince himself that he isn't jealous...he made the mistake of losing a rare gem. If not for the child between Ryker and Zerah, I definitely would pick Nathan for Zerah a million times.

I can't believe Ryker would do that, that's a shitty thing to do. Even though it was a contract marriage, she didn't deserve you walking out that way. I love love the book, nice one author.
