I let out a shaky breath, “I’m sorry, but I have to go.”

I tried to step away from him and walked ahead, but he stood in my way again. Gone was his smile and a serious look claimed his face. He was blocking the door at this point.

“I can understand why you’re so reluctant to meet me.” He said, “But if you’ll let me explain, I can-”

“What is there to explain?” I said, “You want me to know why you left Enzo? No, thank you. I’m better off not hearing your excuses.”
