Chapter 14

Sadie never caught a glimpse of the little boy's face before she left.

Blake slowly looked up only after she was gone.

He was only a teenager then, but his features were already quite sharp.

He stared in the direction Sadie had disappeared in, and mumbled, "You're the only light in the darkness I'm in."

Sadie snapped out of her reverie. She finally remembered him. She looked shocked when she asked, "Were you the little boy from all those years ago?"

"I'm the eldest son of Capitol City's richest family, the Walkers. The Walkers are a huge family with an equally large business, but many family members plot and scheme behind your back. I was poisoned when I was still in my mother's womb, and I was born disabled.
