Lost in Drive: Long Way Home

It's another first day of school in the Spring Gardens Academy in North Carolina. It's always very noisy during this time of the year. Every student knows that, most especially those who've been studying here for almost one year already.As if it's the school's tradition as well as the student's, if you belong in this school, you have to belong to one of the clubs too, or else you will be left out. Additionally, all clubs were approved by the headmaster of the academy. Thus making them confident that all students would have fun joining them."Hey, Cy. I heard from Prof. Doctor that you can change your club every year, want to change this time?" Hera looked at her best friend.They had been walking in circles for quite some time, looking at the newly introduced clubs for the freshies this year.

The latter guy leaned back on the table before he looked down at the ground. After confessing to Ken, Cyril is quite watchful of his reactions and gestures and he is thankful that even though the atmosphere turned a little gloomy and awkward, Ken only kept nodding. Probably still processing the new information that he learned from the younger guy.The two stayed quiet for a little while before a group of female freshmen came to the booth."Hi," the girl greeted."Hello," Cyril greeted back, finding it as an opportunity to shift their attention and change the atmosphere. 7:00 a.m.The bell rang for the first time today to signal that classes are already starting. All of the hallways have been cleared of students too. Some who came late were asked to go to the disciplinary office.As for Cyril and Hera, they were almost caught by a student council member while walking to their literature class. “I’m not gonna sit down.”  Kode elaborated his previous answer.“And why is that?” She continues to question her student.The boy chuckled at his teacher’s question before he shook his head. Walking home after such a tiring day is Cyril’s least favorite thing in a day. Honestly, he could afford riding the bus or even a taxi cab if only Hera didn’t ask him to walk her home. Earlier during the club meeting, Hera encountered some maniacs and they thought that she liked them after she took some shots from afar. Hera tried to explain her side however, it wasn’t really enough for them to get away from her since she’s also pretty and attractive.
