The one who had looked at her like she was something to be bought. Jeremy's eyes swept over Maria's body, and a slow, predatory smile spread across his face. She forced her face into neutrality, but her grip on the files tightened until her knuckles went white. Francis glanced between them, his expression unreadable. He didn't ask if they knew each other. He didn't need to. “To what do I owe this visit, Mr. Moretti?“ Francis inquired, taking off his blazer and hanging it. “The contract your company proposed,“ Jeremy said, finally dragging his eyes away from Maria. She walked close to Maria, when she saw how tired she was. She gave her the water instead and she drank it all.“Thanks Aunt.““What's happened? Why are you coming back by this hour? Is it 9 to 5 any longer? No matter how busy today was you should have clock out latest 6 or 6:30.““I made a very stupid mistake today Aunt.“ She said in a quiet voice. She reached out to her bag and brought out her own copy of the contract she signed and gave it to her. Aunt May went through it and when she saw the outrageous clauses of working under pressure, extra office hours and sleeping at the office sometimes. Yes they are monetary benefits but damn those benef
