Chapter 10

Stella heard his voice and looked up. The word "no" stuck in her throat as she met his deep blue eyes.

The man kept looking at her and it was written on his face, "No will be not accepted."

Without waiting for her response, he walked over and settled into the black car parked by the roadside.

His actions are clearly saying to her... "Follow me."

Not only did he invite her to follow, but he also left two tall bodyguards stationed by the car, keeping a watchful eye on her.

Stella was at a loss for words.

She wondered, "If I refuse, will they just pick me up and put me in the car?"

After Stella got in the car, she gave the driver her address and then fell silent.

RK was also not someone who liked to speak, So the atmosphere inside the car was very quiet.

RK was sitting in the middle of the back seat. But Stella did her best to stay as far from him as possible. She was sitting close to the door and kept her posture like she was looking outside the window...

As Stella was feeling suffocated, her phone rang...

"Ding... Dong..."

Stella looked at the phone and found that it was her best friend Emily...

She picked up and said... "Hello."

"Darling... When will you be back? Baby miss you..."

But the voice coming from the other end of the phone was not Emily's voice but her baby Adrian's voice...

Her heart skipped a beat at the sound of her son's voice. She didn't want RK to know about Adrian, so she quickly covered the phone with her hand.

After that, she stole a glance at the man beside her and noticed his expression remained cold and indifferent.

It seemed he hadn’t heard anything.

Stella let out a sigh of relief.

"How could he suspect I have a child? For him, I had already aborted the child back then... He doesn't know about me secretly giving birth..."

Meanwhile, Adrian was still waiting for her response.

When he was about to speak again, Stella said, "I’m on my way and will be home soon. Just wait a little while."

She kept her voice low and avoided saying the word "Mommy”. Even though he didn’t know, She still felt for the safe side, it's best to avoid as much as possible...

But the person, on the other hand, didn't seem to have any intention to hang up, said happily...

"Then it’s cool. I’ll talk to Mommy on the phone so you won’t be bored on the way."

Emily's voice, filled with mock irritation, came through next. "You little rascal! You’re using my phone to talk to your mommy? How can you be so naughty? Trying to save money for her, are you?"

“You only think about your mother, then what about me? Your beautiful Auntie..."

Adrian looked at Emily and said the matter of fact while shaking his head...

But when Stella heard his voice she felt like both of them want her to be dead. The whole car was filled with their voices... If they continued like this, no matter how hard she tried it was not long before she exposed herself in front of him...

Stella scolded Adrian multiple times in her heart but when she spoke her tone was still calm...

"You don’t need to do this. I’m coming back soon. Eat, take a bath, and go to sleep. Anyway, there are so crowded in the car, I can't talk."

After Stella finished speaking she hung up her phone and glanced at RK’s reflection in the window.

The man was looking at her from sideways...

Even though there was darkness in the car she still saw his cold blue eyes looking at her with sharpness...

The silence resumed, but RK suddenly shifted his demeanor. His cold voice fell into her ears...

"Do you think the car is very crowded?"

He echoed her own earlier words, clearly he was looking for trouble.

Stella bit her lip and replied, a bit embarrassed, "No, it’s not like this..."

In her mind, she was thinking,

This man was so scary...

It was so inconvenient to talk with her baby in front of him because she didn't want him to know about Adrian.

"You’ve been away from the country for six years. How does it feel?"

The man's voice was low and calm. It's like he was talking in an ordinary conversation with her but his words were full of mockery...

"I’m happy... very happy."

As long as she was with her baby, her life was full of joy and every moment was precious.

Adrian was everything in her life.

RK’s Adam’s apple moved up and down and his response was noncommittal. It's like he was just casually asking, if she didn't reply, he didn't care much about this...

"I heard you’re getting married to my sister. Congratulations,"

Stella said, her voice cold.

After their divorce six years ago, it's not that impossible for her to just maintain the boss and subordinate relationship for this movement...

She had long given up on him and she no longer cared about the past or not going to stuck in her past...

But this time she didn't get a reply from him.

Stella turned her head and looked in the direction of the man.

She saw that his deep cold blue eyes were looking at her. His gazes were very sharp and like a knife fell on her...

After a minute he said, "Do you want me to get married?"

His voice was cold. His blue eyes were so deep that it's hard for anyone to know what he was thinking.

Stella pursed her lips. She didn’t think she had said anything wrong. After all, six years ago, he had divorced her to marry her sister Sophia, , didn't he?

"It's not about whether I want you to get married," Stella replied. "It's just that I don't think there is anyone else in the X city who is more eager than Mr. RK to marry my sister."

Her lips curled into a mocking smile.

Why was he pretending like this?

If not, Why he was in such a hurry to marry Sophia and divorce her?

Stella's lips curled up in a mocking sneer. She felt like someone had overturned a cup of bitter coffee in her heart... It's just that there was only bitterness no... Sweetness.
