Mr.Chancy shook his head still wearing his usual smile.

I stole a glance at him wondering how he was still able to smile in a situation like this.

This wasn't funny at all, his daughter doesn't look like she's ever going to accept the fact that her father wants to marry someone who looks almost her age.

I couldn't even imagine her calling me stepmother, can you imagine that?

The room was really getting hot for me, I could feel my back and armpit getting soaked in cold sweat.

"It's not a joke Stella, I and Selena are getting married soon" he said.

He made it sound so simple with the way he said it, I could sense alot of pride and confidence behind his words, like someone who just won a trophy.

Stella stared at us for a while, her eyes kept fluttering.

I could imagine how much she was hating me right now within her, I would do the same if I were in her shoes, this was not an easy thing to accept.
