POV

After I washed my face, I went to go and check on Kevin’s injuries... When I heard him on the phone it sounded like he is talking to his son... Carla never said he had a son. When I hear him say Raven my heart skips a beat... It cannot be how would they even know each other? And Kevin has not been in the city in a year. So, there is no way they could meet right? He has to stay here for the foreseeable future, by the time he is discharged we’ll be long gone. Or that is what I tell myself.

After he ends the phone call, I walk into his room.

"I'm here to check your wound and to change your bandages" I tell him

He nods, "Okay"

He lets me check his wounds I cannot help but think about Raven so I decided it was best to ask him he would be honest with me

"Mr. President I'm sorry I couldn't help but hear you mention the name Raven is he your son?" I ask him

He thinks for what feels like forever he laughs like he is trying to recall something.

"No, he's not my son.
