“Take this.” Matin gave Sofiah a shopping bag.

 

“What is this?” she asked in confusion.

 

“Take a look.”

 

“A dress? For what?” She gave him a puzzled look.

 

“For armed force dinner,” he replied with a poker face.

 

“Why did you buy this for me? I can buy it myself,” she said, looking unhappy.

 

“Why? You don't like it, do you?” He raised his eyebrows.

 

“Yes! I don't like it when you bought this without my permission! Take it back!” She handed the bag to him harshly.

 

His eyebrows strained in confusion. “That's strange. They say all pretty girls like it when a guy buys something for them,” he talked to himself, still trying to figure out his confusion.
