"Soo, l'Il be marrying you for real?"

"Why do you say it like it's such a bad thing, i'd also be helping you out since you just lost both your jobs and you need to take care of your mother".

"Are you stalking me?" She asked shocked at how he knew all this about her.

"Stalking you? You wish Lu".

He says while signing the paper in front of him.

"Then how do you.."

"I wouldn't propose something like this to you if I haven't done a full background check on you, and I'm really grateful I bumped into you that night".

"I... can I sleep on it?"

"There's no time for you to sleep on it, you're getting a rich husband for free, you should be happy".

"How long are we going to keep up this act for?"

"A year and you're not allowed to fall in love with me".

"Who's falling in love with you?"

"I'm being serious" Brian said with a straight cold face.

Seeing his mood change from playful to cold so fast Stacy became a little scared, "why can't he just tell his parents that he likes men, I mean the whole city already knows" Stacy said in her head while reading and signing the papers.

"What kind of ridiculous terms and conditions are these, he's the one who needs help but he's still soo sassy about it, gosh! Gay men really do the most" she said in her head again but scoffed out loud unknowingly to her.

"What?"hearing Brian's voice but not what he said she looked up at him waiting for him to speak.

"You sound and look like you don't like my terms and conditions" he says with a genuinely concerned

"Yes, I don't like most of it" she says in reply, and he looks at her sharply, "I mean for a gay man you think a little bit too highly of yourself" she says then signs the paper and passes it to him.

"Gay? Who is gay?" Brian asked her to look confused, then she gets up and walks over to him, "don't worry I get the whole story now, you're gay but you can't come out to your parents, and they want you to get married soon so you can fully own Smith Holdings, I completely get it" she says then sits on his lap, at that moment, Stacy heard the door open followed with heel clicks.

Stacy was about to get off Brian, but he pulls her back causing her back to collide with his chest, she turned to looking at him with scolding eyes, making their position look more intimate but just then a high-pitched female voice said out loud, "Brian! I'm..." Stacy turn to see a lady about her age glaring daggers at her.

"Brian who is she?" The lady said almost sounding like she was going to cry.

STACY'S POV

I was going to get off this blockhead's body and he had to pull me back "What the hell is wrong with this guy, now look he has gotten me a hater, this girl is so pitiful she doesn't know this man is gay".

"Avery, when did you get back?" | heard Brian ask the girl in front of us who now looks like a dejected puppy, "poor girl".

"Brian you didn't answer my" ... "she's my girlfriend" Brian says then I sneaked a glance at him, i would be lying if I said I didn't feel anything when he said that.

"G-Gi-Girlfriend!? How?! When?! Why didn't I know, Brian I'm your best Friend!" She yelled and tears began to form in her eyes.

"What kind of best friend reacts like you when their best friend introduces them to their girlfriend, what? Are you in love with him?

BRIANS POV

Hearing the question Stacy threw at Avery, even I was curious because Ryan used to say the same thing.

"Brian are you going to sit and watch her disrespect me?!" Avery yelled again, can she lower her

voice, Jesus

"What kind of lady are you anyways, why are you so noisy? Lower your voice, you'll break the glasses in here". Stacy said and I accidentally let out a laugh, Gosh Avery will start yelling again.

"Brian! You're laughing at me!? How can you? I just got back today, and I had the driver take my luggage home, so I can surprise you, but you disgrace me in front of your so-called girlfriend! I won't take this this! I will tell uncle and Aunt, I'm sure they won't approve of your cheap looking girlfriend!" I could feel Stacy's body shaking, is she angry?

"Avery you won't disrespect Stacy, disrespecting her is equivalent to disrespecting me".

"I will go to Uncle!" She yells again then storms out of the office.

END POV

Stacy got off Brian and went back to where she sat initially, "You know that girl likes you right? When will you tell her you're not interested in her, or even tell her you're not interested in girls"?

"Again with this nonsense, where exactly did she even get the idea that I am gay, I might not show interest in the ladies around me, but that doesn't mean l'm gay" Brian thought to himself in his head.

"Um Brian, since I'm hired but not exactly hired, what exactly would I be doing? ... I.." Stacy asked nervously after remembering she still need to take care of her mother's medications.

"Instead of being my secretary, you'll be my PA, so we can be closer to each other, and don't worry, I will definitely take care of your mother and ..

Brian was interrupted when his phone began to ring, know fully well that it was either his Mum or Dad calling, he clenched his jaw and called Avery's name, and after picking up his phone he saw it was his Dad calling.

"Hey Dad"

"Brian, what did you do to Avery?"

"Dad did she blackmail you into calling me, because you'd only call me for business"

"She showed up at the house crying and kept saying you hurt her, your mother is trying to comfort her, what happened?" Brian's Dad asked and waited for Brian to speak, after not hearing him for a while, he calls his name.
